I personally have no problem with how they currently look

You don't need to make something extra-shiney and amazing looking to be strong. The current look isn't perfect but we don't need "random shiny ore that looks like it's at 9000°C", just a more dark-greyish metal and not a block that looks like a pile of coins

Glowing veins of lava running through the metal. Just different enough to not mistake it as magma blocks. Not visible in just the ore but the equipment as well. When I think of the nether one thing comes to mind, lava.

I understand why everyone is saying it doesnt have to look remarkable, but it would look nice

    HOL' UP.

The netherite texture is supposed to be refined into SCRAP. It was designed to be unremarkable. You add gold to it later to make it into netherite.

I personally like it as it looks like a pile of rusted tombstones

I agree fully as a player of Minecraft since 2009 replacing diamond as the best metal should be more remarkable than som old mud or something.

IMO a simple and discrete design works better for a rare or powerful thing

I think that it's fine that it looks unremarkable since it is ANCIENT debris. That being said the texture could be better since it currently looks like a cinnamon roll.

At the very least it should look a little bit more like an ore

Maybe not like the magma block but I think the color scheme for the block should be darker or redder.

The texture could use a little work. Although you could just use a resource pack to make it look how you want.

I don't think it needs to be fancy. What we do need is a scrap block, however

It should look unremarkable, what would be cool is if you could get an enchantment on it where it glows

i think the debris itself is fine, though i think how long it takes to break could be ever so slightly reduced given the fact that it is supposed to be debris and not an ore. i think what needs to be improved is the actual ingots and gear. since you’re adding gold to it it should be like it’s activating the power of the material. maybe gold/magma accents in it so it doesn’t just look like fancy stone. the gear especially should be brighter and more powerful looking. I also think it would be kind of cool to have some special effect on it when it is enchanted. some small particle effect maybe?

I think we should make it looke better but with a red detailing so it looks better but another thing is if we could change the armor from be better then diamond to be and upgrade from iron then upgrade from diamond be upgrade from iron so it makes more sense we shouldnt just let diamond get dumped that fast especially since you usually go into the nether with full iron then diamond armor

I like the style but if you could due to the way it is created from broken shardes when smelted and then added gold to make the ingots can you give it a Kintsugi feel and it would look great

Honestly yeah... it's like it's just a place holder texture. Or it's just a block of old rusted twisted scrap not some god almighty new ore.

Aha! Chalk! If you could equip it then u could write on blocks basicaly like grafitu and you could write on the ground. It would be made out of 2 Clay. It would be Just like a weapon. It looses its power.

I think it looks great from a lore perspective. It's ancient forgotten metal deep underground, covered in lava and etc. It's going to be weathered and broken down. Plus I think there's a lot of charm in taking this old-looking scrap and going through the process of making it into a clean piece of armor.

A hint of gold in the cracks would be very cool

It should have a metal look, and it should have glowing vains of lava on it.

I don't agree with changing the ore, but the armor model needs to change

I think that the point of the design is that it isn't special (unlike other ores and materials) and that's what makes it special because you wouldn't expect to be used to craft the most powerful armour and tools

What if texture stays the same, but if near lava blocks/fire, the ore glows red hot?

Personally I think it looks like some sort of meteorite which imo is perfect

Het zou wel cool zijn als het lava cracks heeft en dat het gaat gloeien als er lava inde buurt is

I think the current texture is mostly fine, but it would be better if the top and bottom of the block had random rotation, as it would look more like debris.
