Netherite shulker box

It will float on lava and have an extra row of inventory

    I specifically came to post this after seeing Netherite tools float! I hope this can get more recognition as it's a no-brainer idea!

    If you die in lava you can now go get back valuables that you stored in your Netherite Shulker Box.

    Great idea! It would be great if, when you die, your stuff stays in the shulker box! :) I don’t think it needs any more room, however. That would make it a bit too powerful.

    The netherite ingot can be used to upgrade tools and armor to the next tier, why not other things?

    I present to you, the netherite shulkerbox perfect for the worried adventurer, no longer will your valuables be unprotected after death in the nether,

    It’s crafted with two netherite ingots and 1 shulkerbox in a sandwich fashion, and retains the innards when crafting, it’s a dark metallic gray sort of like the netherite block but shulkerbox lines.

    maybe you should be able to make it in the same way you make the armor and tools,

    where you just upgrade it using a single netherite ingot.

    The only thing I can think of that some people might not like is that it would kind of ruin the risk of doing things in Minecraft. Something else is that it seems a little OP that it would have an extra row of inventory space, I believe it should have the same amount or even less than normal as a trade-off for keeping your valuables safe. Other than that, great idea!

    They could be used for automatic item transport systems in lava streams.

    I really think this is a important addition. Now that the nether is actually worth staying in for any amount of time I think its necessary that they add a way to move items about. And this accomplishes exactly that, since we could pack items into a netherite box and ship them on a lava stream. I dont really like the idea of adding an extra row though, as it wouldn't mesh well with any existing storage devices. I would rather have it be just a single chest of storage or a double chest of storage.

    not only lava resistance, but neither can be blown up like the netherite block.

    Great ideas everyone. I agree that it would kind of ruin the risk of being in the nether, but it would be worth that because the player would need to spend a long time just to get the netherite needed for it. And I think that blast resistance is also a good idea, as it gives these shulker boxes a use in the overworld. They could be a storage item that doesn’t blow up if a creeper comes along. And I also agree with the fact that it should have only a row or one and a half rows because otherwise, even though the player spent a lot of time mining all the netherite, it would be way too overpowered.

    The fire resistance is enough. And for the crafting recipe could be a shulker box surrounded by eight Netherite Scraps, is the same amount as two ingots without the gold and I think it fits in with other recipes

    I think it would be better if you made it at the Smithing table, combining one netherite ingot to one shulker box. It would be a really late game feature that basically allows you to always recover your stuff no matter what.

    Also, it would be a good thing for item transportation systems because now we can load the items in a netherite shulker box and transport the items using a lava stream though the nether, which could be theoretically (assuming no bugs, discounting the time to load the shulker) 8 times faster than water transportation streams on the overworld. Yes, you could make a giant hopper line in the Nether, but it requires too much iron while you could use a water transportation stream in the overworld.

    It would bring possibilities to many players if it was added, mainly not losing your items in fire/lava and being able to transport items via lava.

    You should be able to either craft it using an existing Shulker box and a netherite ingot or using the Shulker recipe but using netherite ingot instead of the chest

    I agree with a Netherite shulker box. I really, really want one, except I think it should have less storage than normal. I personally would agree with half the amount of storage as a regular shulker, because protecting an entire inventory of items is admittedly kind of busted...

    I went to post this idea becuase this would be SUCH a neat feature, but looks like there's some like minded ideas already out there!

    It should in trade, however, be fairly expensive. Since netherite can now be found in piglin dungeons,I think it's fair to say 8 netherite shards around a shulker box is a fair recipe. 

    would be nice for cave mining so if i fall in lava and i have my diamonds in a netherite box 6 hours if mining doesnt go to waste.

    i would craft it whith 4 of netherite mínimum.

    Yes, I think it should cost either 4 or 8 netherite ingots to like coat it so it isn't to easy to get. It is a great idea though. :)

    I think that it should be crafted using a block of netherite on a shulker box in the smithing table. It would float in lava and not burn. It would also have the regular amount of storage. This way it isn't too op since you need an entire block of netherite.

    would make traversing the nether a bit easier in late game (you’re elytra breaks and you fall into lava)

    youre valuables are kept in the dyable netherite shulker ( can be customised with different nether themed blocks)

    upgrade the shulker box by putting it in the smithing table with a netherite ingot

    can be customised by surrounding the shulker in the crafting table with 8 of the blocks you want to change it to look like
