The Gill-Man (Swamp Update)

The Gill-man is a rare boss like hostile mob for the swamp. He lurks only underwater in the depths of the swamp. (from the famous movie "The Creature from the Black Lagoon")

The Gill-man lives in a burrow under the roots of the mangrove trees that is only accessible by swimming under water through a narrow entrance. The burrow is small but he is always close by.

He swims horizontal and slightly faster than the player. He also stays 3 blocks or deeper for the most part, for his main attack is to come from underneath the player and hold them down. Once grabbed your bubble count is cut in half and bubbles pop much faster while he is holding you. His main goal is to drown players. This commotion always attracts the nearest crocodiles to investigate and ultimately take bites at the player while being held down (secondary attack). Crocodiles also swim faster than the player so you must commit to your attack!

If you are unsuccessful and die, the player may have to investigate the Gill-man's burrow to recover all of his items. If you are successful in killing the Gill-man then he will drop a special piece of leather. this leather can be used to craft a banner pattern or more importantly a gill leather helmet. This helmet will increase your swamp visibility.

Swamp visibility is important because now in swamps (3 blocks or lower) can be found mud blocks. These mud blocks serve as decoration or for a chance to see the rare muddy pig! Mobs also sink down slightly while standing in the mud.
