Hello lovely community members and game developers! In response to the fantasy mobs suggestion request, I bring you my latest imaginary child, The Vermillion Chameleon! (Aka the Vermeleon)! These chameleon-but-netherish-like mobs would spawn in the nether and have the ability to turn almost completely invisible! They are hostile unless tamed with spider eyes or any other item dropped by insect-mobs. Once tamed, the player can allow them to climb over their in-game minecraft skin! It would crawl around very slowly, occasionally changing where it sits on the player, adding a lovely playful feel to the mob! Unlike the parrot, once you put it on, it will stick to you forever! (In this case, forever means until you’re fully submerged underwater!) This stuck-to-the-player mechanic means the Vermeleon would be actually useful when exploring and the player would not need to worry about losing it! This mob will remain quite hard to see once on the player (that is, until it detects a nearby threat or another player) upon which it will glow any customisable colour to alert the player of what’s lurking nearby! The Vermeleon can be dyed with any of the in-game dyes (default texture is dark-red)! I hope this idea gains some traction because it would add so much cuteness and helpfulness to the mobs of minecraft!! Thanks so much for reading my idea! If you like it, be sure to leave a vote!
