Having all projectiles inherit momentum adds depth to combat. Shooting while moving may be less intuitive, but players that master this mechanic can better control where they can shoot. For example, shooting right after a jump will add distance to the arrow. Shooting while moving fast using an elytra can allow players to get more damage from their arrows moving faster. Having projectiles ignore the pla yers momentum makes shooting while moving too easy. Why should jump-shots be easy? When the projectiles do inherit player momentum, jump-shots are still possible, but only requires timing to shoot at the apex of your jump. Projectiles not inheriting player momentum reduces skill and should not be part of the game.
