    I disagree! The weapon attack speed and reach has been buffed so PvP and survial is tons easier, there is something called DPS (damage per second) and with this combat snapshot the DPS is buffed so much that base damage needs a heavy nerf. And the reason why a stone sword is better is because of the Duribility, how long it lasts, wooden swords break easier then stone ones and its the worst thing when a weapon breaks mid battle!

    This is why easy mode is a thing. I mean, it's not that hard, you can stand still and click them, with the reach they won't be able to kill you.

    If armor is weak and weapons is strong, why do you need to make weapons weaker? Why not to make all armor some stronger? I think that all players are used to diamond sword damage is 7 and it's bad to change it

    They still have more durability, however I agree that you should still have some kind of advantage in combat other than that.

    Well weapons being too strong was a problem in PvE as well. Being able to kill just about anything by holding down attack for a second was rather boring. Now they fixed that.

    Making armors stronger would make the mobs even weaker than they got after they've added reach and faster attack speed.

    I personally think this will help more than hurt, as many complained that mobs are too easy and buffing them would hurt the early game unless you sleep in a bed which leads back to the DOA survival issue of avoiding the mobs anyways in PVE. Although I do think that wood and stone being the same is a detriment other than durability, especially when they could be better used for other resources after getting iron.

     

    Armor enchantments also slow down the pace just as much as the cooldowns. so if you nerfed the weapons, you should nerf the armor enchantments as well such as prot.

    They made the weapons swing faster so they need the damage to be lower.

    The way i see it, the harder they make the survival game the better, even hard mode is way to easy at the moment, the game fells more like a sand box with some occasional annoyances, not a actual survival mode, Ii think its great that this might make it a little harder to survive. Also there are easier modes for a reason.

    That being said i completely agree that wooden tools need to be weaker than stone, that change completely disregards all of what little of a progression system they have in the game. Wooden tools need to be made weaker.
