You don't have to spend real money on Rubies as you get them for free with tappables.

well if there was one currency than Minecraft wouldn’t make it like gems, and instead have to be bought. So if you want to pay money for build plates and skins then go ahead.

This doesn't work... Gold Minecraft currency is for all your accounts. Red crystals are for people who want to stay free to play but still get other benefits like 16X16 build plates... No choice.

I disagree here. The reason there is two seperate currencies is because you can get free rubies. You can't get free coins. You came get rubies because they are used to unlock gameplay features (namely build plates). Whereas coins are only used for vanity items.

This balance is what allows the company to make money without completely locking us free-players out of important content. Because if they merge the currencies it's almost a certainty that there will be no more free rubies.

Regardless of how many currencies there are, the items or features you by with the currency isn’t needed to enjoy the game. But it is nice for the people who play casually or for little kids to earn their currency. But it’s also nice for the company to get paid for its hard work on a free app. Flavor features like styles aren’t needed and if you want to pay for them, support the game. Large build plates aren’t needed, but if you want to pay for them, buy them or earn them. They aren’t going to make a currency that they’ve had around for a while now that everyone willingly pays for, be earned easily in a mobile game that people can play 24/7 to earn. The second currency was a good choice in my opinion.
