Magropod (Nether Mob)
The Magropod is a tall, slug-like magma monster which naturally spawns in the Nether. It can be used by players to act as a defense, are 3.8 blocks tall, and hate Ghasts.
They have a melee attack and a projectile attack, both of which deal standard damage with a chance fire damage. While their ranged attacks fire at a slow rate, they're extremely accurate. The creatures only use their melee attack when in range, inflicting a knockback effect. When provoked, they share hostility towards their target among others in a close radius. Unlike most nether monsters, Magropods have a natural aggression towards most monsters while remaining neutral with Players. Magropods ignore Passive Mobs such as Villagers and Iron Golems.
While they move slow land, they excel in movement in lava. Moving on or through heat sources causes it to gain a speed boost to match the player. Occasionally while moving on land, it has a small chance of lighting the block under it on fire.
They have a chance to drop a "Magro Shard," which can be used to brew a Potion of Lava Dweller. It allows the user to see and swim through lava as they would with water, and this is compatible with water enchantments such as Depth Strider.
Magropods can cool off if left without heat for too long, and will begin to slow and harden, visibly darkening as they cool off. It's possible for them to solidify, becoming mineable objects for Cobblestone or pushed into Lava to be revived. They do not cool off in the Nether.
