Have an option that could be ticked so you could display yourself and others on the map. If someone else doesn't have this option ticked, then others who do cannot see that person.

    I guess adventures are a way to bring MC Earth players together, but it would be nice if it could happen elsewhere, yeah.

    I like the toggle / permission idea presented here, because it gives the player free choice if they want to be spotted as a MC Earth player by others playing it ^^

    Would be good to see others around me playing too!
    Deffo needs an option to allow/disallow it though ;)

    Or you could have it be a friends only option

    There could also be a search for friends option if you are looking to do an adventure with someone, but you would have to have friended them through an invite otherwise you would be meeting with random strangers and kids will end up in white vans with no candy.

    There could also maybe be a PVP option to allow other players to engage in combat with others with others with the same option turned on too.

    maybe make it where you have to have an item to be seen on a map and vice versa

    You shouldnt be able to magically see nearby players on a map at all. It completely negates stealth...
