Yes! A light level similar to redstone torches would be best. This would be a fantastic addition to a cave update!

I think it should only be found in mushroom island and can be put into mushroom stew, giving the player O.P. Effects

I like the idea of being able to eat them, it should be like that for all other mushrooms.
These mushrooms could be the new sources of light in the caves for the "cave & cliff" update, maybe they have an animated texture and change color like prismarine blocks.
And maybe they can be placed on all sides of a block not just the top

Since glow squids in the cave update snapshots drop glow ink sacks, they should be able to be used to create the glowing mushrooms from MC Dungeons. The glowing mushrooms in the game are so cool and would be great if we could get them, and for them to be squished when you walk on them for a cool effect. And why not get multiple types of glowing mushrooms based on the mushroom we craft them with? With either the red or brown mushrooms, and maybe also even the warped and crimson fungi. Maybe they could even make a comparator output, especially when you step on them.

This, along with the glowing squid, would be the section of illuminating entities in Minecraft and would fit in exceptionally well at night.

I think it would be interesting to have them as a biome for caves and cliffs part 2 to make it have more than the deep dark, and make some caves glow. It would add luminance to caves and make the update seem more full

The glowing mushrooms should cause players and mobs to glow for around 5 to 10 seconds when stepping on it. This could make cave exploring more fun or scary when all of a sudden you can see a mob cause it started to glow from the mushroom. The mushrooms can be used to make suspicouse stew with the effect of nausea, invisibility, or glow a new effect that makes the player glow and mabey having multiple types of glowing mushrooms for the effects. Also think it should be able to become big like the other mushrooms and the blocks should still glow making glowing mushroom block and stem. The glowing mushroom blocks should glow on the same light level as glowstone and there should be shrivled version of the plant and block when it is in water. The color of the plant can have at least 2 varients a neon green mushroom with light blue spots or a blue mushroom with light green dots and the dots can also be white.think it would be cool if the mushroom could not only grow on all types of dirt but also cracked stone block like many plants do in real life. The new block cracked stone can spwan naturaly with plants in it and glowing mushrooms depending on the dedicated area for it.The area it spawns mainly in will be a varient of the deep dark where the blocks makimg the biome are the same as the deep dark but spawns an area with mushrooms and a pond for the shrivled version and where i think the spawn rate for glowsquids should be the highest there.they should be eatable and farmable.

I would like the glowing mushrooms from Minecraft Dungeons.

They emit light but glow brighter when you touch them.

One idea I have for glowing/foxfire mushrooms is that they can mutate to different colors depending on what type of soil or turf they spread to. Like for example:

    • Jade (green) foxfire mushrooms: grows on logs or dirt
    • Azure (blue) foxfire mushrooms: stone or deepslate
    • Amber (orange-yellow): podzol
    • Vermilion (red-orange): netherrack or crimson nylium
    • Aqua (light blue): warped nylium or soul soil
    • Lavender (light purple): mycelium
    • Fuchsia: end stone

Then these mushrooms can be bonemealed to make glowing mushroom blocks with a cap or stem variant that differ sightly in color. They would be an ambient low-level light source. With these blocks players can make glow in the dark art that would look something like a blacklight poster, which is also what partially inspired the color choices.
The giant mushrooms could be umbrella shaped & randomly slant a bit, making them notably different from the existing giant mushrooms. Giant glow mushrooms would only spawn exclusively in a luminescent caves biome.
The mushrooms in their small form would be somewhat common in caves. Players would notice glow mushrooms being a different color if growing on dirt instead of stone. I’d imagine some would get curious and try to grow it on different soil or give them incentive to explore more places to get different mushrooms especially for the colorful blocks to make glowing pixel art in the new massive caves, create beautiful lighting at night, or add to a fantasy environment.

Glowing mushrooms could also be useful as a brewing ingredient to make a “potion of clairvoyance” that allows the player to see nearby mobs as glowing outlines even in the dark. And if a mob is within 10 blocks behind the player, a slight glow vignette appears on the screen to indicate a mob is approaching.
