This would be a new biome added to the nether, It is a forest of tall purple mushrooms as far as the eye can see and would give the opportunity for new structures and mobs to live there with all the floral activity there. It would be a very thick and dense biome like the dark oak forest and jungle are. It could also have a form of poison water (not real water, more of just a poisonous liquid) that does damage to the player, but the surrounding mobs would be unaffected by the liquid as normal nether mobs are unaffected by lava. There could be a type of mob that springs out of the mushrooms and attacks the player when they walk to close. This would make this biome extremely dangerous to traverse for players, as they can't tell the difference between the real mushrooms and the mob, and is a high risk for high reward factor for the biome. This biome would also help explain why there are regular mushrooms (both brown and red) in the nether as is right now; it would demonstrate that mushrooms are one of the few things that can survive from the overworld in the nether naturally without changing or adapting like most other mobs seem to do.
