Agreed, but they should also keep "pigman" in the name to begin with.  It's a familiar term we've had long before Microsoft bought Minecraft, and they shouldn't make such a forceful rewrite of the formerly unused mob's identity.

Zombie Pigmen have been around so long and many would probably agree to keep it how it is.

In terms of subtle Mc lore, that changes too if the name is changed. That would mean they used to be the Piglins and not pigs that were struck by lightening and cursed to go to the hellish Nether.

What's worse is the rename is an obvious attempt at being politically correct.

I think that it should either end up that the current Piglin is renamed to pigman, and zombie pigmen keep their name, or zombie pigmen are renamed to zombie piglin, and piglin keep their current name.

And lightning should also still turn pigs into zombie pigmen/zombie piglin.

They should keep it as Pigmen. It's just a better name in my opinion, Piglin sounds odd.

@34w2 23 In agreement, I'd like to see how many people would call someone a "pigman" rather than just a "pig", and how that last name would be directly rooted from a game's lore and creatures.  When's the last time you thought real hard about insulting someone thinking "hey, this guy reminds me of the things I beat up on a video game all the time"?  I'd imagine that, especially with Mojang's younger audience, the likelihood of such a premeditated offense would be pretty slim.
