Make the new Nether Trees grow from the Ceiling as well.

The new Nether Trees (nether wart trees?) should grow from every angle in the Nether because it's a much more three dimensional place.

 

Right now they trees look too much like normal trees that just happen to be in the Nether. They could stand to be more freakish and frightening.

 

Also there should be Giant Nether Trees that stretch from the Roof to the Floor. Nether Tree Fort ftw?

  I wholeheartedly agree, if things stay the same the nether will eventually become nothing more than an overworld with different mobs.

  That would be too weird for something that's suppose to be the underworld or the other name I would rather not to say.

  This idea is a good idea, these trees could be used to build a hanging village or something, this is cool and I agree.

  I like the idea of having giant mushrooms grow on the ceilings and walls, but they should be a different species than the ones that grow on the ground, or at least grow a little differently when planted on the ceiling. Mushrooms can grow in all sorts of places, but their spores are still affected by gravity. Also, I think giant shelf fungus growing on the walls would look cool.

  Trees in the Nether is just weird. But the Nether absolutely should have its own unique type of vegetation. I really like the idea of having some vegetation not just on the ground but hanging from the ceiling as well. Some examples:

  • Basalt Briars - black weeds kind of like grass that generate on the ground, perhaps common to a specific biome. If the player walks over them they get hurt the same way they would if they ran into a cactus.
  • Fire Vines - these would hang from the ceiling of some caverns. They would be like regular vines, except they would glow and their length would be regulated the same way kelp is.
  •  Ash Mushrooms - These would grow on the side of vertical walls, with a J-shaped stem, and would be slightly smaller than giant mushrooms. If touched by an entity, they would immediately disintegrate and could drop gunpowder. If mined with an axe, they could drop the small version of themselves, which could be planted on a wall and bonemealed to grow.

  The nether or a nether biome having an atmosphere like that of Giratina's realm (from Pokėmon Platinum) would be super cool; just a space that gravity doesnt apply to correctly
