Its something simple, but more than enough to bring a lot to the game.
- The fortress would have a much lower spawn rate than the current dungeons we have (current dungeons have 8 attempts per chunk). The considered rate is a 5.5% chance of spawning. This lower rate is to counteract the higher-level loot and the fact that, being above ground, it'd be much easier to find.
- The mobs spawned here would be a bit more difficult then what you normally encounter (think armored husks and skeletons) meaning there is a bit of a challenge in assaulting the fort.
- The structure would bring some more diversity to the desert. As of now, palm trees and meerkats have been announced for a future update but when it comes to structures, we're severely lacking (in multiple biomes actually). As of now, we have the old desert temple, the wells no one notices, and the villages.
- The reason for this suggestion is that we currently have hardly any above-ground dungeons! We have the woodland mansion, sure, but that is in one biome, and when it comes to exploring, I think we'd all like to have something to look for that can challenge us and reward us for finding and clearing it out.
