TL;DR: Give resource pack creators more freedom to add music to the game.
I've seen a lot of feedback on this site regarding the creation of biome music (music which would play only in certain biomes). This, however, would require the creation of several more musical compositions by C418, and would also need a lot of thinking on Mojang's part to figure out when it is appropriate to play such sounds. It's safe to say that this is not necessarily the easiest thing to implement.
Despite this, it would be a great addition to the atmosphere of the game. While we can all agree that C418's music is amazing, hearing a track a million times can change your opinion quite quickly.
My proposal is the inclusion of new sound events that act similarly to music.game or music.nether, in that they will occasionally be triggered when the circumstances are right, which can then be utilized by resource pack creators using a sounds.json file. Another similar idea would be to give resource pack creators access to adding arguments to music triggers. This could be letting them add a sound bound to music.game which will only play if, for instance, the variable biome="forest", or time="night", or why not both? Or why not have a variable that specifies how many mobs are nearby? Or maybe one that specifies whether the player is fighting a boss?
