I'm a largely in support of this as I feel the old legacy edition has a different play style and experience that caters to the device it's being played on. Similarly to Java edition, Xbox One and Switch edition run much more smoothly on the device they were made for which bedrock edition lacks due to it's attempt at being universal.

In my opinion you should be able to purchase all Legacy Console editions (Xbox 360 Edition, Xbox One Edition, PlayStation 3 Edition, PlayStation 4 Edition, PlayStation Vita Edition, Wii U Edition, and Nintendo Switch Edition). This would not only make players happy who want to try out these editions or get them again for nostalgia but it would also allow 4J Studios, Mojang, and Microsoft to make some easy money off of these games with little to no effort (since they would not need to be updated).

This would also allow players who originally played Xbox 360 Edition, PlayStation 3 Edition, or PlayStation Vita Edition to convert their worlds over to either Xbox One Edition or PlayStation 4 Edition in order to be converted to Bedrock Edition from there

This would be good. I can see them also not having any online multiplayer if this happens but I'd still be fine with that

This is something I’ve been wanting for years. Since I’m more of the fan of the legacy edition.adding this would allow some returning players a choice plus make some easy money as it doesn’t need to be supported anymore. Hopefully They can look into this as it’ll be not only easy money but also make fans happy. Of course there should be a disclaimer stating that this version is no longer supported.

i'm gonna have to agree to captain america, bedrock is not at all optimized and i would love the chance to rebuy the legacy ones. hey mojang you've got nothing to lose, you've already developed the game

I hope they do this. Or they should at least add the console aspects addon to the marketplace.

I 100% agree on this. I feel nostalgic for the legacy console editions (especially Switch, as theres no physical version of that one). I feel like Bedrock is clunky and just doesn’t- feel right. I don’t care if they don’t even update them, I just wanna experience them again. At the end of the day, all they’ll need to do is remove the “Get Bedrock FREE!” button, maybe re-name it to “Classic” or “Legacy”, press a few buttons to get it back up on the store, and boom. Done.

I don’t wanna keep going back to my Wii U just to play my preferred version of Minecraft! Bring it back!

By far my favorite version of Minecraft. Minigames, and overall better game logic. you can follow along with the Minecraft handbooks, and everything works as expected.

I totally agree. Put legacy Xbox One, PS4 and Switch especially on sale for people to buy, with the caviar being no updates. Make them only available during special events to build up hype for users to buy them. It would be an easy cash grab for Microsoft, Mojang and 4J while users still get what they want.

200th vote. I grew up with legacy edition on my xbox 360 which I still have, unmodded. The best game of its time, even if I didnt have xbox live gold so I couldn't go online and play with friends outside of my house. I still play it on my PC sometimes, using an emulator, but it'll never be as good as my original experience, and that tutorial map which gave you a music disc at the very start in a huge village..

    i totally agree.
I want a playable version of Minecraft on my switch. IDC if legacy switch doesn't get updated, but I want the option to buy it!

TBH tho, it would be nice if Legacy Xbox One and Switch would get Update Aquatic or even better, village and pillage.

But i would seriously drop $100 to get legacy switch (although it would be better priced at like $70AUD so more people would actually buy it)

I support this 100%. The legacy editions were not only great, but they ran much smoother also. After all, if you can revert to previous versions in Java, why aren't we able to purchase the legacy editions of the game?

I lost my Xbox one Minecraft copy within the last four years and I absolutely despise bedrock. I don’t even like playing Java. The legacy ports for Minecraft on Consol has been the only way I’ve ever enjoyed playing Minecraft. I would even care if need legacy Burgess my class were never updated because I already don’t like the New Age Minecraft and it complex updates. I hate the fact I can’t buy a new copy of a game that I have once owned,
