    This sounds cool, but I think it would be quite boring mining down there... I think they would have to add something else down there to spice things up... (aka how they have dungeons, strongholds, mineshafts, etc above, have something different below).

    Tho I always wanted what Terraria had - just keep mining down to get to the nether, and a portal was simply a quick way down.

    This sounds great! I find it slightly sad that when my friend and I were playing on a new survival world, it took us around 30 minutes, or less, to get diamond tools. (Thanks, ravine!)

    Ah exactly got the same idea but when you get deeper, you would see giant underground lake with ruins, several ores like amber-ruby-amethyst to finally have mithril/orichalcum at the really bottom. I know I would have fun mining deeper, if we also have structures like miners villagers refuges or glow mushrooms.

    With cubic chunks and practically infinite caves there should also be biomes dotted around the underground in various shapes and sizes that contain unique blocks mobs in structures that affect the way caves generate. Just like the surface now
