Minecraft is as far from a linear game as you can get, or so most people think. The progression of the game is near identical in every world you play. I know Minecraft is about being creative, so adding limitations seems counterintuitive, right? Well, limitations, while decreasing overall possibilities, amplify creativity. If we weren’t limited by gravity nobody would’ve ever invented the plane, or imagined the jetpack. My point is, there needs to be a major choice after the end. Something that will permanently change your world and can’t be undone. Give the player a choice, between two dimensions. Each has their own benefits and drawbacks, but once the portal to one of the dimensions is opened, the other, is permanently locked away.
