    This could be a good way to implement a slime boss and some new potions.

    Like all of the loot except for diamonds. They need to be rarer.

    Some more ideas:

    * Some walls are made of ordinary stone, but it has a "slimy" look inside this biome, much like how grass changes color in different biomes.

    *Pools of liquid slime or acid, a new greenish liquid that could be put in buckets and have its own interesting mechanics, like being super slippery or corroding through certain blocks.

    *A new mob, maybe a slug or snail, that lives in the ooze, and eats slime balls.

    This is an amazing idea! I don't think the slimy sword should be better than a diamond sword though. I think it should be slightly worse than a diamond sword, but better than an iron sword.

    Slime caves or dens themselves area a wonderful idea! ...But the boss and its drop are uninspiring at best. The "slime witch" can already be done with spawners.

    Larger slimes however could be a nice idea, adding a greater challenge as normal slimes are weak.

    Another possibility is perhaps a bouncier slime variant? Something unique to give the slime cave extra flare. It and its drops could perhaps behave like a bouncy ball. Perhaps even something like the orange gel from Portal 2?

    Huts or structures covered in slime could also make it interesting as well as add a hint of lore.

    The main issue I see is that getting slime blocks would be too easy and make slimes largely useless with that supply of slime blocks. It'd probably have to be comprised of a new block that won't do that.
