“Insanity” and “Insanity II” effects
The Insanity effect would cause you to hear things. Insanity I, The things you would hear would be further away and less threatening. For example, you may hear zombies and spiders walking and occasionally groaning about, let’s say 18 blocks away. Insanity II, the things you would hear would be much closer and much more threatening. I was thinking the player may start to hear creepers starting to detonate, witches throwing potions and lightning strikes all about 5 blocks away.
The insanity effect could be gained in one of two ways or both ways (depending on how the devs would want to add it to the game)
-Standing in light level 2 or less for a whole minute would cause you to go insane for 30 seconds. If you remain in the darkness for the entire 30 seconds, you would get Insanity II which would last until you leave the dark and would continue after entering light levels greater than 3 for half the amount of time spent insane in the dark.
-Standing next to certain mobs ( Enderman, Wither Skeleton, some new mob maybe) would cause you to gain Insanity I. For example, standing within 4 blocks of an Enderman for 10 seconds would cause Insanity I, and standing near it for an additional 10 seconds would cause Insanity II. The effect would remain until the player leaves the vicinity of the Enderman and for half the amount of time the player spent standing next to it.
