Diversified nutrition (make food useful)
Most players agrees that one of Minecraft problems is that it has sooo many food products, but no real use of them.
You can build chicken farm and eat only chicken (wheat, potatoes - select one you like). You don`t need other food really.
I suggest to implement positive effect for eating various food during the day. This effect will make your hunger bar decrease 1.5 times slower then normal (you can suggest your ideas in comments). It works like this: during the day you eat specific food combinations, effect appears and lasts one game day.
To activate this effect you need to eat during the day such food combinations:
Three different cooked meat (Porkchop + Steak + Mutton, or Steak + Chicken + Rabbit , etc.)
Four types of vegetarian food (Beets + Carrots + Bread + Potatoes, etc.)
Two types of meat AND two types of vegetables, including bread (Porkchop + Steak + Carrots + Bread, or Mutton + Chicken + Potatoes + Beets, etc.)
One type of meat AND one type of seafood AND one type of vegetable (cooked Salmon + Steak + Sweet berries, or Rabbit + Dried kelp + bread, etc.)
As you noticed, I suggest three groups of food: meat, seafood, vegetables.
This suggestion. if implemented, can motivate player to seek, farm and eat new food products.
And new food could be added in future.
