There should also be the possibility of putting lava in cauldrons

Yeah it would make leather armor easier to dye and it will use a lot less dye when there is dyeable cauldrons. Cauldrons with lava should be added too. It will look cool on certain builds.

This is such a cool feature on Bedrock and it should be brought to the Java Edition of the game to make the two more similar!

I can't believe this over a year old and still isn't in Java, they've added so much other stuff that in comparison is much less useful than this on Java, and this isn't just some minor tweak that's different between two platforms this is an actual game play mechanic, important enough to where on bedrock dying 4 pieces of leather armor only costs 1 dye if using the cauldron and on Java resulting in both less options for decorations and more importantly unfairly balanced, it's unfair to players on Java that actually have to use 3 more resources for the same thing that bedrock users only have to use one of, there is no cheaper option. Please Mojang if this could and already is done on bedrock there is no excuse for this to not be on Java

On the bright side of this in the mean time you can use this datapack+resource pack that adds in the feature to dye cauldrons and dye your leather armor with them

Honestly Mojang if some random person can add this feature in via datapack+resource pack why can't you, the game makers, add this in officially

I cant beleive you guys cant dye cauldron water. I can use 1 water bucket and 1 dye for an entire set of leather aromor on bedrock.

smitchell1106 and Orlando Schieppati PS4 edition is a different version altogether from bedrock and java, after all it is now going to be likely discontinued and replaced with the universal bedrock standard.

Over there on Java you all have quasi connectivity, sticky pistons spitting out blocks, the ability to build on top of the nether, spectator and hardcore modes, snapshots of the next update, Hypixel, more mods and addons, and it's clear that Mojang spends much more time  and quality on java, and you complain about a small feature like this?

I don't think it's a small feature. In Bedrock, you can not only get potions into cauldrons, you can also farm potions with dripstone. I can't understand why this have so less likes. I come from youtube and literally every youtuber I watched and talked about that said they wanna have this feature on java. There is also one thing missing, you can tip arrows without dragon breath, more than 8 even (don't know at the moment how much)
