Since I'm currently on a roll adding suggestions, how about some changes to slimes caused by potion effects?
When Slimes are hit with regeneration or instant health effects, they can increase their maximum health and their size. This can allow for slimes far larger than can be naturally found, with far more health. This can also allow for slime farms, as slimes of a certain size break into smaller slimes. All you need is one small slime, a brewing stand, and a lot of patience,and you can get infinite slime balls under this idea.
Also, on a more tangential note, I think that if slimes are hit with Jump Boost Effects, it should remain permanent, given that slimes are experts at jumping and nothing else.
This one may be bending the rules about "one mob per post", but witches, who share the swamp biome with slimes, could help them by giving them said jump boost effects, when relevant.
I dunno, I just want an easier source of slimeballs, and I figured this could work.
