It would be really great if they found a way to port java edition on the Quest. In my personal opinion java is way better than bedrock edition.

I seriously want to play Minecraft on my Quest, but I really don't want to have to go through all of the confusing steps of sideloading and all the other nonsense that I can't figure out, and after updating my computer to windows 10 I can't play Minecraft on it anymore because my computer is just that shitty. I'm kind of just stuck

I really hope that Minecraft would be available in the Oculus Quest store.

If you put minecraft on the quest, that would be an opportunity to make a little bit more money, and you would give all of the quest users their gaming satisfaction.

PLEASE WITH ABSOLUTE POSITIVITY, ADD THE JAVA EDITION TO THE QUEST!! Being able to change versions, snapshots, and different functions will make the Java version SO MUCH MORE SUPERIOR than the bedrock on the quest!

It's very clear how many people want minecraft on the oculus quest. So far, it's on everything else. Console, pc, mobile, oculus rift, and gear vr (?). If you can officially play minecraft on a phone in a box, why can't you play on a good quality portable headset? Come on mojang, we wanna play vr minecraft with our friends without needing an xbox controller to do it. We know you can make it happen.

I can not wait until this comes out all I can think about is playing Minecraft in vr being able to be anywhere in the world playing with any of you’re friends implementing a wonderful game like Minecraft makes the already small limits of Minecraft seem to just fade away.

If this Minecraft vr is to be a bedrock version, will xbox and oculus quest players be able to play together? In rec room, oculus quest players can play with literally anyone. Just a thought...

I think that this will be a great opertunity for mojang to make a great game and make lots of money. After all, new games that are released on the quest get lots and lots of downloads, and I know lots of people that will buy this game for 20-30 dollars. I have played minecraft vr on the quest using virtual desktop, and even though the graphics are bad on virtual desktop and it is very laggy, it was way more fun and immersive then the normal minecraft. The quest would be the perfect headset to add minecraft to, because you have no wires, and the controls would be very simple.

The Tenth Jew, I don't think so. The Hololens is not a very consumery (?) device. I think the demo they showed was just to show that it is possible and that the Hololens is capable of such things. I have tried the original generation Hololens and, no offense to Microsoft or Mojang, I can tell you that playing Minecraft on it would be a huge pain. The main drawback is that the viewable area about the size of a deck of cards 10-12 cm (5-6 in) away from your face. I also don't think that the UX (buttons and such) are that good (on the original, keep in mind I have not tried gen 2). You have to look at something with your head and then do an obscure pinching gesture anywhere so it is rather cumbersome to do a simple point and click.

Minecraft should be available on all platforms. Even though it's on Rift and Rift S, some people don't have the right computers to run the game. Quest gives a chance for them people feel the feeling that they do. Quest users deserve a official Minecraft VR game, without having to stream it or use Link, to be wireless and not worry about bad quality streaming. Qyest deserves your great game, and the fun it brings to everyone. Please add this, for us, please.

I think I would buy a oculus quest just to play minecraft in vr I already own it on 6 other devices
I think it would be amazing you would be able to see the scale of your builds in a new way and with the new blocks coming out building with it will be soon good i can't wait and if they come out with it on the quest that's the first thing I'm buying
And to be honest on my opinion I don't think I should come out on the oculus go i think that device is more of a media experience more for a watch shows and movies (from my experience) and I can't wait to get oculus quest I'm still getting a quest but if minecraft was on it I think I could play more then I already do
(Also if your reading this have a nice day)

This would be amazing. Minecraft is probably one of my favorite games, and vice craft seems really cool, so if this came out, I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

It likely wouldn't even be hard to do, just take the Rift controller code and throw it into the Gear VR version. Despite Gear VR being a 3DOF system, its version of Minecraft works flawlessly with the Quest's 6DOF tracking.

I agree that this would be great because if we get Minecraft on the quest, we get to explore the game in a completely new way, completely tetherless and free. Please give this to use.

I would like if it didn’t need a game pad because that defeats some of the purpose of having it on quest. Also the quest audience is the biggest in vr. It’s already on steam so all we would need is controller support

Quest has been selling as fast as they can make them since its release - still selling out everywhere despite the pandemic. It should be a no brainer at this point to bring Minecraft to Quest.

Really hoping you guys do this. The gear VR version can even by sideloaded currently .. with working 6dof movement.... We've even been able to load up to a 20 chunk rendering distance without any lag!

Imagine how amazing this would be. One guy on an xbox, one on a switch and one in vr, all in the same room. Seeing your friend's buildings in full room scale vr. Imagine building one of those epic megabases and being able to awe at your creation. PLEASE MAKE THIS POSSIBLE.
