Please consider adding a bedrock version Mojang! :P

Personally I don’t think they would add a bedrock edition, because then you would have to sigh into Microsoft/Xbox, and if you’ve already purchased the game on Microsoft it would probably be free like it is on the rift S.

I have been a Minecraft user since you guys came out, I buy minecraft on every platform you pretty much have made them for besides gear. Your most popular Version I would suggest you make this for is Oculus Quest. Here’s the reason why, the quest will have way more by the end of next year. I'm a parent and love the quest to the point I plan to buy another quest this next year and maybe another one. This platform is the best out there for people that never had VR or could not afford the pricey computer that you need for the others. I would pay extra for a VR Minecraft for the Quest, because of the extra work you would need to put into it. And I am sure a lot more would too. I think the quest would be the best platform to try something new on since they are trying all types of new stuff on it all the time. Quest will be more out there in the future and I already see more users every day in the VR world. Just my opinion from a moms point of view~

i think the freedom of the quest would be amazing for minecraft and in reverse the simplicity of minecraft means that the game doesnt have to be transformed to much to work on the quest

I think that would be great as Minecraft is my all time favorite game and I would absolutely love to be able to experience it in VR but I don’t have a VR ready computer.

Both myself and my son LOVE this game, and all that Mojang has done for it since it's humble launch into our lives with the release of the Xbox 360 version(which I still play, cause my creative efforts show up in the Xbox 1 edition when saved! Please never loose that functionality!!!).
It's truly a bonding point for us when we play together!!!
I've purchased a PAIR of Quest headsets(a 64GB & 128GB), 55% for it's obvious intent and content, and 45% under the HUGE hope there will be a proper release for this VR rig!!!
That's the gods honest truth here, and I know in my heart I'm speaking for thousands, likely tens of thousands who currently are either with or without the hardware.
This IS the next evolution for Minecraft!
This IS where it needs to go, as the game is already so captivating and involved!
Being able to actually walk around in a biome of your own creation, or a masterpiece of someone else's, HAS to be on Mojangs' & Microsofts' 2yr(1yr?!?) road map.
    It just has to be!
    The demographics are there.
I would pre purchase Minecraft VR for O culus Quest in a heartbeat, with all available initial release DLCs, should there be any!!!
    It just has to be!!!
Continue the bond with your 10's of millions of daily players, but most importantly, help evolve and perpetuate my bond with my son.

Thank you for taking time to read this snippet from my soul!

I beleive that adding minecraft bedrock would allow for an ommeesive experiance due to it hand tracking and no wires it would allow for a new community to enjoy the game and if its bedrock you could play realms with your mates

Stop support for the gear vr version and apply those resources to the oculus quest version. It is beyond obvious that the worlds best selling game should be on this platform. Kids and adults alike. We all want this. Keep in mind, most people here are not just voting for themselves, but for their kids, their nephews and nieces, their neighbors kids.

If there ever was a time for there to be official minecraftVR the time is now!! The Oculus Quest has been sold out across the market for months now, and with the passing holiday season there are hundreds of thousands of customers ready to give you money. This is the obvious progression of video games into the future and Minecraft is a perfect fit for the magic of VR.

I hope you consider and the reddit community as well as the rest of the internet can not wait until you develop official support

It can run super easily 100 % (my pc can even run Java edition through link even if it's far from being vr ready, so bedrock shouldn't be a problem, SO NO EXCUSES MOJANG JUST IMPORT FROM RIFT S TO QUEST WOULD TAKE SO LITTLE ADJUSTMENT

I personally believe that adding Minecraft to the Oculus Quest would be a fascinating idea. First of all, a lot of people do not have expensive PCs or Samsung phones to play VR, so they all bought an Oculus Quest. Adding Minecraft to the Oculus Quest would allow all those people to be able to play Minecraft VR. Secondly, Minecraft would feel so much more open and freeing without a cord holding you back. Lastly you would also be able to make a lot more money with the rising popularity of this new system. Thank you for spending time to read my comment, and please consider.

All though I’d much rather have a java client for the Oculus Quest, is still settle for bedrock.

Disappointed that it wasn't obvious anywhere that certain games cannot be played on the quest, not won't perform well, just straight up cannot be be played, and Minecraft was the most disappointing of these

I really think this is a good idea.

I agree with Microsoft's decision against a Java client, as that would be expected because of the Quest's low specs, but also because the Quest is a mobile device. The Oculus Quest is literally just a phone in a vr headset plus some fancy sensors. Most importantly, you can take the Oculus Quest almost anywhere you would find practical enough to play Minecraft. For example, my friends and I had lots of fun playing ViveCraft (a PC version of java minecraft that is vr) over virtual desktop, but the latency and the lag made the experience a little disappointing. Bedrock version on Oculus Quest would be phenomenal. After all, all Bedrock versions have controller support.

An important part of making Bedrock edition amazing on the Oculus Quest would be compatability with other Quests and even other devices (like how the Switch can play with Xbox, PC, and Mobile). I understand that this might already be one of the requirements, but I don't just mean cross-compatibility as in only being able to play with other devices, but also being able to, for example, see where the hands and head are on the Quest. If the Quest user waves, you should be able to see that motion on the other devices.

Playing Minecraft on any VR system is considerably difficult. Not only is moving awkward, but along with that, swinging to hit or mine is really slow and difficult. There should be some sort of optimization for VR.

6DOF IS ESSENTIAL! Without 6dof, minecraft VR wouldn't be immersive enough to make users pay another $7 or so dollars on.

I hope reading this message may help you, or if it doesn't, I hope it sets some new expectations for the community. Thank you for your time.

I agree. while vr is becoming more and more available to the people, I believe that Minecraft should be enjoyable to everyone and available to everyone.

If you are to implement the gear VR version, at least add similar touch controller support (like Vivecraft).

I think it should be available on the Quest because it's the 3rd most purchased VR headset in the world and it would be a huge selling point for the Quest. I also already have a Quest and am not looking for a tether to play Minecraft.

If this were to exist, I would like it to be a lot like the mod for the Java edition “Vivecraft”. Basically, the arms work individually and can be used to punch and aim your cursor, which can do the same it always does. Open your inventory in the air in front of you and grab items from it, and the movement could be teleportation or moving using the stick, you never know.
