I wonder if we will have to buy the game again for the quest or if there is gonna be some way to just have it if you own bedrock already. Although I’d be fine re-buying it but still, it would be the greatest thing ya know. (Assuming it is coming)

Having Minecraft in a truly 6DOF stand-alone VR headset would be the peak of fun. I mean how could Minecraft be improved? Yes of course there are updates like the Netherupdate and others, but what would give the game a new twist? VR is the answer! To be fully immersed into a game that was bound to a screen or a cable if you played it with a Windows Mixed Reality Headset. Now with the capabilities of wireless 6DOF VR there would be only one logical thing to do. Get the game to the Oculus Quest. Maybe even give it the same Beta "Play together" possibilities that we have with the bedrock version already. I hope that you guys decide to give Minecraft another big push with a Oculus Quest port and keep it the most selling game of all times!

    Best regards

What do i don’t understand is that they already have all the codes and functions needed. They would just have to modify the gear vr edition to be compatible with touch controls (witch they have in the rift edition) and they would have another platform with minecraft to make more money. It would be simple and money-making but they don’t do it. Microsoft is a very weird company.

It baffles me that they haven't made a quest version yet because they already made one for rift so all you have to do is port it over. If this doesn’t come to quest i will be completely and utterly disappointed

It would be awesome if you use a motion controller instead of an xbox controller

Minecraft on the oculus quest. An interesting idea but I don’t see the point in not having java when java is on the rift. I just want java for the hardcore mode, but to be fair, bedrock has cross play so that’s a nice benefit. I vote for Minecraft in VR

I would love bedrock edition on the quest. I play on bedrock and have my own realm and being able to see my builds in virtual reality would be incredible. I really hope this happens it would make me love Minecraft so much more.

For th oculus quest would this be multiplayer?
Could you cross platform, such as you playing on the quest and your friends/family play on their phone, Xbox, switch, pc, etc.?

I'd love too see both versions on the quest, but unfortunately you can only use the worse edition... Bedrock😔

As long as the version for the Oculus Quest supports both Touch Controllers using 6DoF no matter the edition, that would be awesome!

I think that since you can play Minecraft on the tablet, phone, iPad, switch, etc it would work well because i have a bad tablet and Minecraft works just fine on it

I think some people need to grasp that the people who work to try and make this a reality are gamers too, and would want the best not only for us to play but for themselves as well. I'm also not a professional at this so maybe I'm wrong, but we got a pretty "unofficial" kind of thumbs up that it was gonna be here sooner or later and that's all I want to know (other then more specific months or days it'll be here, but nothing's perfect lol).

Wouldn't it be smart to put the most popular game on the headset that's sold out everywhere?

I think this is a great idea, I didn’t buy any VR platforms at first because I was unsure of the capabilities of them. After Minecraft Vr was shown it drastically increased my interest into Vr. I have the Quest now, but without the ability to download Minecraft Vr I feel my gaming options are more bland. That being said I put all of my support behind this movement and hope to hear good news in the future!

You can already get Java on the Quest (I'm not sure about the Go), but there is already a few cheeky ways to get bedrock on Quest to, but u need the normal pc bedrock and a good cable (maybe oculus link or alternatives). So I would prefer it to come out officially on oculus quest store so that we can play Minecraft wirelessly and with friends.

I would like for Minecraft to go to the quest. Imagine playing Minecraft with your friends in vr on an affordable system or many doing Minecraft vr with raytracing on a higher end device

The VR community is something I am very new to. I haven't even received my Quest yet but I consider myself a part of the cummunity. Minecraft is the best selling game of all time for good reason. One thing too I find with myself and people I know, is that no you never stop playing Minecraft completely. I have bought Minecraft twice on mobile, on Xbox, PC, and on the Nintendo Switch. Minecraft is that kind of game that never gets old, and that you need on every device you have. I would die for a Oculus port. The go I think would probably be tougher to incorporate, but the Oculus already has controllers, and is far more similar to the Rift which has Minecraft already. I can promise you that I would once again buy Minecraft on the Quest if it was released on that platform. The capabilities and unique play styles on VR devices is a whole new experience than flatscreen gaming. I am a lover of both styles and Minecraft NEEDS to be on the Quest. The Go I'm not against, but there is far more demand for a Quest port and it would be far more enjoyable on the Quest as well. I really hope this happens and gets into work soon if it hasn't already.

You could release minecraft Bedrock on the quest for $60 and I would still pay for it.

Even though the quest doesn't have much processing power, Oculus recently figured out a way to give it a 67% increase in power. If you made use of this, than you could have a pretty solid game overall for the quest.

From what I gather, a VR mode already exists on the Bedrock version that's PRETTY solid.

From what I know of it, I'd suggest making a "VR menus" thing where you can grab and poke your inventory, etc. Like gesture controls. Like, grab over your shoulders to open a backpack or something, you can physically pick up items in your inventory and place them on crafting benches or in furnaces, etc.

Even if not, it's already a thing on Windows 10 PCs, how much effort would it REALLY take to put that on Oculus Quest?

tbh, I'm getting an Oculus Link cable just to do it as is rn, but I would LOVE to actually own this on my Quest.
