Why minecraft is dying/less popular (In my opinion)

I disagree.  Really, I couldn't care less how the textures look, as long as they aren't terrible.  I also believe that the client isn't always right.  Sometimes, Mojang announces a new feature, and players say that it will be terrible.  But it always turns out to be okay.  I prefer to trust their game developing expertise rather than the opinion of some player who doesn't know good gameplay principles.  Of course, players often suggest good ideas - that's what this website is for, after all.  But ultimately, Mojang will judge whether they should be added (and if they should, are they more important than plans for future updates), and 99% of the time I feel that they made the right choice.

I don't believe that less detail is better, if that were true than minecraft 1.13 and 14 would have sucked. I think that the quality of detail is what matters, not the quantity. that's why at least in my opinion 1.8 - 1.12 were the dark ages of minecraft because they added mostly useless features to the game.

Minecraft never wasn’t popular, it simply may have seemed that way due to the Fortnite craze. Honestly, I think the people at Mojang are doing a fine job of keeping Minecraft fresh.

I think it has less to do with detail and more to do with the gameplay experience itself. Adding new possible experiences and content has improved the game in many ways - the problem is how everything acts together. For example, because of the loot you can find in villages and shipwrecks, mining has become a far less valid strategy for obtaining some of the most important resources. Survival used to be harder. It used to be more rewarding to survive. Instead of removing features, Mojang should take a look at how features fit in the overall game and balance them accordingly.

An example: I think villages and pillager outposts should be more rare - there are many valuable things you can obtain from villagers, but they aren't rare enough for a player to put a lot of work into building any one of them. There is no point in guarding a village from zombies and pillagers when there are so many of them around. Making villages rarer would enhance player experience with villages, not harm it.

HighestWriter93 what does a cave update have to do with any of this: it has three times more votes than any other post on this website and you say that minecraft will die if it gets added

But like what do you have against a cave update
