NOTICE

Are you sure you want to report this?

Although the Nether biome is a hot topic, remember that items still should be put in their proper categories, even if they are Nether related. Please read the pinned post on creating biomes and dimensions. Please put items for the new Mountains and Nether Updates in their proper categories. Remember portals are structures, that includes Nether portals.

Brilliant textures and a unique method of tying together Mushrooms and Spirits! Adds a lot of fun gameplay while it still being Minecrafty.

And anyone who says it's not Minecrafty, I will fight you. With respectful debate.

Great suggestion! Some stuff here i feel could come to the Nether. Hope the devs use this as consideration when deciding what to do with the Nether dimension :)

Really thorough and detailed suggestion with good use of description/graphics.
Hope Mojang takes this under consideration to help them with features for the Nether.

Also I could also see this as a community Addon/Mod for now :)
Anyone know how to code JSON/JS or Java ;)

The idea of mixing souls and mushroom spores is great + unique for ONE aspect/area of the nether. The catacombs/mausoleums/graves interest me as structures. Also love the block styles with the ghost stone. :)

I'm sure it could be fine tuned a little bit but I love the idea of being interested in exploring the nether again

Mojang, hire this peep. This exactly the kinda Nether content we need, and could be a whole update in itself (+ Maybe a handful of other Nether biomes, like a mushroom forest or fireland, etc)

This is the kind of stuff we NEED for Minecraft. Creative, beautiful, everything about this is brilliant.

The trees that you showed in the pick should be petrified trees. You would harvest them with a pickaxe and they would be fire proof along with the tools and blocks crafted from them. So you could make a boat that floats on lava but sinks in water.

I love this, except for two things:

    1.  What is a "4-hit combo"?

    2.  What happens if you die while wearing an amulet of preservation and holding a totem of undying?

Those are minor points, though, and I love this idea.  Voted.

Finally, a reason to go to the Nether!  I find the whole place kinda scary and boring since there hasn't been anything new in there since it was added.

Love it! I think that the nether could really use a wide variety of biomes! That would make it a lot more scary: not knowing what to expect around every corner.

On the other hand, I spend at least half my time in game in the nether because of the resources and adventure it provides.

Overall I think the most ideal nether would be just like it is now, but with small areas (still hundreds or thousands of blocks) with a unique biome, a few unique structures, and possibly an RPG element (like a note in a ruin from a terrified explorer who left his chest his chest with his favorite pick, or any loot, in the nearest nether fortresses, but was too afraid to go back for it. In some cases a loot chest could actually be generated in the nearest nether fortress, and in others it could be a trap set by a new boss mob, and a boss battle could commence once an empty chest is opened. The boss could be a "king" version of an existing mob or a 'Nethromancer' etc). The ruins/ biome patch could also be guarded by unique mobs.

This would provide some much-needed variety, but not drastically alter the nether and be mostly avoidable for players who want to avoid danger.

I love the passion you have for this idea, the way you included concepts and everything. Amazing artwork, definitely deserving, then Nether has been pretty bland since beta, with only small additions every couple of updates.

You should make the nether chest a separate entry to make sure that Mojang doesn't ignore it.

Genius, the soul mechanics in pvp sounds like a fricking blast to use.

like the strats and meta of pvp would be changed forever in the wackiest way and i love it to bits.

I'd just scramble their inventory around lol

I'm sorry, but you are saying Mojang doesn't need to add this? This has an amazing amount of content in a single biome. This provides another reason to enter and truly explore the nether. Well thought out and interconnected, giving all sorts of content to other features as well, including combat

AWESOME IDEA unfortunately mojang might not add because of mechanics like turning into a ghost all the biomes all mobs OP armor easy to get and I just think mojang wouldn’t want that but I love ❤️ it.

While I do think some of the mobs (notable the ripper) are a bit to insane/creepy for a kid's game, this is the update that the nether needs. If I were to rework the mobs, I'd have them be new variations of old mobs (the ripper could be a Grimm reaper like skellington for instance)

Dang, thats just amazing! your definetly gonna get a vote from me, i hope mojang adds this in the 1.15 update!

This is a great idea! I believe nether biomes would add a great deal of variety to the nether, and make it an extremely cool place to build a base or live

I really like everything but the ripper and the soul combat. That part is a bit much and will put a lot of unnecessary work on the devs shoulders. The bottled souls are cool and the soul mobs but having the soul combat ruins it for me. But overall great ideas and textures

I love the idea of make the nether more of a helscape and more of in 'Underworld' than just lava firey depths
