    Hi there,

Notifications do exist, they have been tested, they do work. If they do not work as expected, that is a technical issue you can report to us using the green feedback button, leave us a message, select "report feedback site link or website issue". We want to ensure notifications are working properly, and if there's an issue on our end that we need to investigate with our web team or Zendesk, then we should do so in a way that is trackable for you and measurable for us.

I can't go to a developer and say "notifications are broken" without more information. I mean, I totally can, but they'll get frustrated because they won't be able to test it, I'll get frustrated because I want to help them and help you out, and you'll keep being frustrated because it's a problem we haven't fixed for you. No one gets what they need done that way. :(

(Since you specifically mention sea horses, there is a sea horse post, by the way: https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360014235552-Sea-horses - feel free to check it out and consider contributing perhaps!)

With regards to any posts in particular, I personally have been through everything in the queue (it is up to date) this week and see only two posts (three, counting this one) associated with your profile.

I appreciate the feedback and you taking time to raise the issue.

Hi Nova "inkyxatz" Barlow, thanks for responding!

I just started using this website about 3 days ago. Can you tell me how the notifications are supposed to work? It doesn't seem that this site has an alert system, such as the kind forums use. Right now I think the issue is that the entire profile system is unintuitive. As far as I can tell, there aren't any settings here at all. I cannot change my username, I do not get any visual notification (on this site) that lets me know if somebody commented on my stuff (or even what happens to the suggestions that disappear) and I don't have the option to enable/disable email notifications. It would be very nice if people had the option to send test E-mails to see if notifications get through. In case you are wondering why I don't just suggest these things, the reason is because I have no idea how the feedback profiles work, and I don't want to suggest something I developed based on knowledge I don't have.

As for the Seahorse idea I had, I saw that there was a seahorse suggestion. But I also saw a suggestion that was not at all related to mine. They were asking for seahorses, but I was suggesting underwater mounts, and seahorses happened to fit the bill better than any other sea creature. My idea shouldn't have been deleted just because they both had "seahorses" in the name. Same mob name, but 2 completely different mobs.

That's another thing - I have incomplete knowledge of how anything here works, but I feel like ideas such as mine should be sent to a "repeat idea" list instead of deleted. Because I feel like the elements of the suggestions that are unique could be picked out by the community and commented on to put them into consideration alongside the original suggestion. For example making the seahorses a tameable mount instead of just a passive mob. That would have been a unique element that could have been considered alongside the original suggestion.

In my opinion rejected/invalid feedbacks should still be visible in the original poster's profile. Maybe with a tag saying "This post is no longer visible to other users" or something like that.

Precisely, it is confusing to see our posts simply disappear from one day to another.

    Hi CraftyAdvnturer -

We do have a thread discussing very idea that you may want to support, it is here:

    https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/360038839631--Feedback-Site-Add-FULL-Contributions-history-to-User-page-under-My-activities-

    Hope that helps, thanks! :)

I totally agree. Some of my posts were deleted, too, and I had no idea if that was a bug or on purpose - I just now found out these notifications were sent to me by email. Some people (like me) use dummy email addresses and do not regularly check these - they should at least know somehow that they should check their email to learn about why some submissions were deleted.

The reason why I suggest this is that people might loose interest in submitting new ideas if their contributions seem to be deleted/disappear without any comment.

If the site appreciates our comments, they would not eliminate them, just by having a common word in the title with another publication, the idea may be totally different but if it is of the same theme that an existing one is deleted

There's a notification on the front page, but we'll look into adding more notice on the submission form. Thanks for that input!

That's not actually correct, but we do request that similar topics keep together. For example, foxes. Look at all the different ways foxes were being discussed. It was a good debate and gave designers who were interested a place to see how closely what they were working on aligned with the various dreams/hopes/expectations the community had (have) for them.

A lot of those posts were wildly different. All of them appreciated by the team. If you want a current example of a long-standing discussion with a lot of different quality ideas, try the combat toggle thread, the caves thread, or backpack thread.

We appreciate our community working together on ideas, and look forward to everyone's contributions. (Except spammers. :)

I totally agree with the post. Communication should be increased.

This is now my third comment on this post, after the first two were deleted after a 'pending approval' period of two days for apparently no reason at all.

This is frustrating, and this is the last time I'll attempt to make a post.

To get to the point, I had a similar experience making a post about a Redstone Radio Transmitter, that was deleted despite not matching any of the deletion criteria of which the rules speak. If it did, it would have been good to know, and also, to have a possibility of appeal.

Instead, it totally looks like an arbritrary decision, and the more my comments get deleted without any communication as to why, the more I grow convinced.

I do agree on the part that says that notifications should show up for a post being reviewed; accepted; or rejected. Most of the things I was to say were already discussed here and have a thread of their own, like the keeping the deleted posts on out profile just to ourselves, but what I do have to say is that in emails telling us of the post being deleted, when it comes to the reason being another post similar already existing, it should also send the link for the post in question for us to show the support, and add our own ideas into the mix.
After all we all here work for Minecraft and not just to see who says first, or whose idea was better.
Two of my ideas were deleted and I have no problem with that. But while with one I could find the post that was similar and vote in it, the other I cannot find
