Capes for the Old minecraft players (Indev to Beta)

  • what i want done is adding capes to the Oldest people (accounts) who have had minecraft accounts since 2009 - 2012 

 

  • the reason why i want the capes for players that have accounts since 2009 to 2012 is because it would be a perfect way to honor the people that have owned Minecraft since indev up to Beta versions.

 

  • How i want it done is a option either on the website or on the launcher that you can submit a request to have the cape put onto Account (the old account that either has been made since 2009 to 2012) But the account will be checked to see how old it is and when it was made. (for Example: Since 20 June, 2009)

    An OG cape is not a bad idea.

    Other games have done it before, like Runescape for instance.

    I was just thinking about an idea like this specifically for the 10 year anniversary for the game. The game has been out for so long, it would be awesome to allow the player's who have been here since the beginning to be rewarded with an awesome cape.

     

    I think four different capes would be cool. One for people who purchased during indev, infdev, alpha, and beta respectively. If four is too much, then one veteran cape would be awesome to have

    Maybe also a cape for any user who has had an account for 5 years.

    I believe that this would be a great idea. I have been playing Minecraft for a very long time (since 1.5). I feel this would show some respect for those who have owned the game before the transition to Microsoft, and to show that they still are playing today. 

    My Idea to add to this is that yes a cape should be given to players who have played from 2009 - 2012, BUT they also should have played recently in 2019 - 2020 as well, to show they are still a Dedicated Player / Veteran.

    This is a great idea!
    Though now that capes are going to be in the mainstream anyway, with the addition of Migration capes, why should newer players be left out?
    I say all players should get a cape that expresses when they originally made their account! That way, there will be much less looking at the same exact cape on everyone's backs.
    Maybe these OG capes should reflect what year it was when a given player originally made their account? That way, a new cape could be made every year, and no one would be left out, while the true OG capes are still special to those that have them!

    Or maybe people (like me) who had known Minecraft for many years, but only made an account recently. Which wouldn't leave out people who may not have had Minecraft during those times, but knew about it.
