We should have snails in Minecraft. They will normally spawn in swamps, as well as rivers, but more rarely. The snails will be breedable and, like the turtles, lay eggs out of which hatches a little baby snail. When struck by lightning, a snail will become a giant African Achatine, which will be the only hostile mob (apart from the zombie and its variants) that'll have its baby variants. An Achatine is like a mini-boss with 50 health points, and its attack will be... slime. The Achatine will cover the player with slimeblocks, leading him to suffocation, and the player needs to get out ASAP. When an Achatine dies, it drops an item that'll be added along with the snails - a Snail Eye, which is used to make a potion of the Snail Master, like the turtle shell is used now to make a potion of the Turtle Master. The potion of the Snail Master adds an effect of Mining Fatigue II, as well as Slowness III. The snail eye, when put into a crafting table along with a slimeball, makes Powerslime. The Powerslime can then be used like an enchanted book, but different - it can be put in an anvil, however, when you decide for the item (either armor, weapons, or tools) to enchant with it, the enchantment doesn't require any XP levels. When the item is enchanted, it ALWAYS makes the item go crazy - if you decided to enchant, for example, a sword, with the Powerslime, and you did and hit a mob with it, the mob will catch on fire, be hurt and die, and all of it happens in only quarter a tick. The Powerslime'll NOT work when used on leather armor and wooden tools and weapons! Now, back to the normal snails. They will behave a bit like shulkers - hide in their shells when they see danger. The adult snail has 5 health points, a giant Achatine has 50, a baby achatine has 25, and a baby normal snail has just 2,5. Also, upon death the snails will drop their shell and 3-10 slimeballs.
We'll probably need snails because we don't really have enough passive mobs, I'm afraid. More hostile stuff is also needed.
Give me a cape if you want.
