Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

A suggestion for the sugar mechanic:

Animals (not just horses, maybe all of the land animals) would eat sugar placed on the ground. I don't think it would attract them from a long way necessarily, but if they stumbled into it, they would start eating. It would take them a few seconds to eat, and the sugar would be gone afterward. When they've inished eating, they would start looking for more sugar nearby (within 3-ish blocks), and go to it and eat it. This would provide the mechanic of being able to lead animals along a predetermined path, without needing to use a lead or breeding material, or even being there at all.

For all powders, it would also be a nice feature if a dispenser could place them down.

And gunpower will work... like a gunpowder.

You could place it into lines (like redstone), and then light one end of line with flint and steal (or a torch) and the flame  would with some small delay go trough into a TNT or maybe new redstone component for detecting fire (or in front of observer) and activate it, the gunpowder will then dissapear and the flame would deal some small (or big) fire dmg to anything standing on it

connect it with that observer, into a note block circuit, and you have a alarm (you could place it under wooden floor)
