Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Placeable food

If you could please add that you can place food

    Might be annoying though because the same button used for placing blocks is the one used for eating...

    I hate the cake is the only food we can put on the table.  We can't even do that with pumpkin pie.

    It'd be cool if you placed fish you caught in a barrel, the top would become exposed and it looks like a barrel full of fish you can place in a market or on a fishing boat you created. Also, various types of bread and pies should be makeable and should be placeable on counters. Of course all other types of food as well.

    I think you should only be able to place them on plates, in bowls, on pans, etc.

    I've always wanted to have placeable foods. Imagine market stands in villages with actual food being cut on a counter!

    I agree i would love more placeable food apart from cakes...

    maybe new food what isnt from the real world and from the neither found in chests

    I feel like food should be placed and eaten the same way cake is eaten but with plates. Like you can eat chicken normally but if u place a chicken on a plate, the chicken will act like cake and u can eat parts of it until it finishes.

    I reckon that foods should be possible to place on a flat surface (blocks, pressure plates, even chests or the ground via a button tap and not happen if you hold) so that like someone else said the food would be eaten slower than usual (maybe add a hand animation?) but replenish more hunger overall and like cake make it possible to leave leftovers. Doing the same with potions might be good too. It'd be great for roleplay/realism purposes, anyway.

    Yes. Yes, I have always wanted to place food. Gamepro505 pointed out that the place and eat button are the same, but why not just crouch like you do when you place blocks on furnaces, crafting tables, etc?

    the only placeable food was the cake which the player eats to fill the hunger points.  people place pies on tables too, if so, why couldn't we place the pies on the block too?

    What if there were certain foods you could place, like soups, breads, pies, and cakes, but the rest could be placed on plates, so you don't have to worry about the buttons being the same?

    That would be good, a plate item that acts like an item frame but whatever food is placed on it becomes a 3D version that slowly gets eaten. When activated while crouched or by "breaking" the plate you can pick the food item back up without it being stuck there until eaten or if partly eaten, disappears if the plate is broken.
