    If added, it should definitely be under the game cheats and specify number and/or percent of players required to perform the sleep cycle.

    Yes please! My friend is constantly spamming SLEEP I’m ABOUT TO DIE in chat, and I’m tired of it. But please make it available without cheats on, like coordinates. (Bedrock edition)

    You can easily use a command to make this happen, I think there is an add-on or mod too

    why cant 1 player sleep just be a regular option for everyone? I don't like the 'just servers' idea.

    I have been thinking about this as well.  Sleeping becomes more of an issue the more players are in a game.  It would be awesome to have some options like "all" (which is the only current option), "majority", "half", and "one".

    Naturally, the issue is more complicated than it appears at first blush.  Sleeping impacts game mechanics that others may be relying on such as weather and insomnia.  If you are out in a lightning storm trying to collect charged creepers and another player sleeps...  bummer.  That's why I suggest the additional options like "half" and "majority".

    Yea needs to be some changes so many times on my realm someone gone AFK and another really needs to sleep so they don’t die.

    I would not put it under cheats though, I would set it so Majority of plays on realm at given time sleep then night skips.
    But the everyone sleep is a big issue.

    maybe if the game checks if the other players have set their spawn point to a different location to the World Spawn for balance? This would be a Great idea

    skipNight=100% // All players need to sleep to skip night
    skipNight=50% // Half of players on need to sleep to skip night
    skipNight=1 // One player skip
    skipNight=0% // Invalid value
    skipNight=0 // Also invalid
    Better than true and false.

    This should also be an option on single player worlds using 1 simple command (and options menu on Bedrock), at the moment you can only do this on Java with elaborate command setups / functions.

    You should be able to set it by percent or actual amount, example:

    /gamerule playersRequiredToSleep 100% (default)

    /gamerule playersRequiredToSleep 1 (only 1 player required)

    /gamerule playersRequiredToSleep 3% (3% of players minimum, for example with 10 players this would mean 1 player = 10% which is > than 3%)

    /gamerule playersRequiredToSleep 10 (10 players required to sleep, if only 9 players online then only 9 should be required)

    yes this is a much needed option on Realms/Servers, it near impossible to skip the night without cheats on, using command blocks that lag out the realms cause they need to be a ticking zone to always be active. when you have more then 2 people on at a time no one getting any sleep and the better half of the new players just end up dying constantly, then ya have to listen to them complain there not a one person sleep, and the other half complaining not to turn cheats on cause they will lose their ability to get achievements.  .

    This would be really handy for SMP servers with multiple people, I have never got any type of "sleep system" to work

    As a server admin, i'd really hope this stays optional. I already have a multiplayer sleep function running that works exactly as I want it and would still like to be able to ignore the default if it doesn't do what I want.

    That being said, I understand not everyone is a programmer, so a way to allow players to sleep without organizing a server wide sleep party every 20 min (which sounds horrible).

    I'm definitely in on the side that wants this to be a slider instead of a toggle since some communities want options other than 1 player or all players.

    On larger servers, you may have some players that need to sleep to stop phantoms spawning, but another group of players that need it to stay night while hunting or working with certain mobs.
