Okay so I heard a thread for this was on here already and people should upvote it, but I couldn't find it so I decided to make one myself. Sorry if this is the wrong section, I wasn't sure, though Minecraft as the huge and amazing franchise it is would be amazing in Super Smash Bros. :)
Anyway I believe Minecraft should at least have some sort of representation in Smash Bros., whether it be a character, stage, or just a Creeper assist trophy, however I believe a lot of people would love to see Steve, or at least some sort of Minecraft character, to be a playable fighter in Smash.
Now, I'm fully aware Mojang can't really do anything about this, as y'all need to be approached by Nintendo or Mr. Sakurai himself, however I figured this would help generate attention, and to be honest there have been a lot of rumors going around about Minecraft content in Smash and they seem credible so this seems like a good time.
Anyway Steve would certainly be unique among the Smash Bros. cast; to help him fit in, they could use the official artstyle as seen in merchandise and the Minecraft website, and they could make him expressive by using how characters show emotion in the upcoming Minecraft: Dungeons, with no bendy limbs and yet perfect movement and expression that stays true to the original style. His moveset could range from a number of Minecraft blocks and items, to maybe a resource-gathering and crafting/building-based moveset. It would be really awesome :)
His home stage could be called "New World" and either be randomly generated, or simply go through the Overworld and its biomes, the Nether, and The End, with mobs and such in the background. The Wither could be a stage boss, with the Ender Dragon maybe appearing in the mode that includes bosses :)
Of course, the Assist Trophy would likely be the Creeper, which could target an opponent and explode, and maybe not die but be covered in soot that it will shake off before targeting another opponent. Normal trophies of mobs and Steve himself could be found in the trophy gallery, along with maybe some items and blocks and the Minecraft world itself.
Well, that's basically it; I don't want to make this too long, and I wasn't sure what to make up for a moveset myself, however I know there are interesting movesets out there, and Mr. Sakurai is good with coming up with movesets as well as we have learned from how he handled certain characters in Smash such as Captain Falcon, Pac-Man, and the Duck Hunt duo/trio, and I know he'd take great care with Minecraft as well as he even expressed how much he likes it in one of his columns, which was specifically for Minecraft and what he viewed as good game design :)
