Launcher Options for Different Versions and Multiple User Accounts

My wife, son and I all play Minecraft, on the PC. On Java edition we can easily switch between users. On windows 10 it is really a pain and a few times has resulted in loss of inventory. After launching the Xbox app and switching to my wife's account and logging back into MC she Still has to change her skin, because for what ever reason it still shows mine. I would be fine with a new Launcher for Windows 10 for managing accounts to sign on. . .

Just to clarify. These are not Family share accounts. I OWN 3 different copies, with 3 different e-mails for us. We really like this game and support it! I've taught my son math with Minecraft!

    older versions of java minecraft saved usernames for quick switching of accounts this has been removed with new versions.

    in addition to this idea i would like to suggest in the java and windows 10 version that the account section of the launcher (top left corner) be a drop down list for quick switching between accounts. right now you have to log out and re-login typing your email address every time you want to switch. I also own multiple copies/user accounts on minecraft and me and my son switch back and forth but its become a pain to switch accounts.

    I had the same issue, we share but with 3 accounts and I think clearing app data restored my account but cleared one of them out.

    yep they need to do something about this make it so we can change accounts like tha java edition easy and fast..

    How hard can this be? just let us switch who launches the GAME forget about the whole windows user etc.

    yes and then bedrock edition will be merged into the java launcher because the java launcher already has Minecraft Dungeons

    They removed this from the Java launcher for some reason, so please update the post. This should be available again. It is now missing on every launcher version except mac and linux.
