Good idea! Currently, there is no sapling for the swamp tree or wood variant...

This is literally the exact same idea I just had. Completely for it. It looks just like a willow tree and willows are common in the swamp. the wood should be only slightly greenish as you said. Not too much though. Only a little bit. Why does everyone think that swamp trees all have green wood? Willows are only slightly green. but like seriously kinda upset about the green swamp wood stereotype not gonna lie

but seriously this idea is fantastic I wish more people would vote

Cypress trees are also nice for swamps with a unique look and would add another conifer species to the game.  The wood is greenish which would compliment the other wood colors nicely.

I agree, I would love some stripped wood or particularly planks with a green tinge; like young/immature wood, wood in a permanently damp area or even perhaps wood with lichen growing on it.

This would be so helpful when building supports for bridges over water, buildings that look decrepit/ruined, or buildings and ships in a harbour area.

I've tried to attach some images with different green woods but was a bit restricted - new wood, old wood, and a tree with very thin bark that is green; as well as a partially rotted tree with lichen as an indicator/idea of various tones of green in wood (not in the bark). Can offer more images if needed

I think a a brown tree would be better, with a hint of yellow also.

I feel like swamps use oak simply because the design mindset at the time was to reuse as much of the existing assets as possible. Now we have tree types and planks for each new biome with trees.

This would make swamps more aesthetically pleasing.

If not a Greenish color, then a Grayish color for sure. Great idea!
