Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

And it should be able to remove status effects that make sense and heal the player's health.

I recently found another reason for this: sleeping in a bed disables these annoying phantom spawning instead of endermen / witches at night for 2 -3 nights. For I rarely sleep, I wandered 22 minecraft nights (4 reallife days) through the desert being haunted by these phantoms, wondering why no enderman was spawning - I needed more pearls to reach the end. There really is no way a player would ever find this function out ingame, but it is a legit reason to go to bed in the afternoon of a day if you dislike phantoms and want to go hunting at night.

Also, we want to be able to set our spawn during the day as well.

A third reason would be the idea, that sleeping in the bed would allow the player to reach his "creative" worlds - they would be "dreams" the player has, and creative mode would be only available from here (It would be easy to reach with a survival world where the player always stands next to his bed, so no big loss to creative-only-players.)
