The teeth could possibly be used to make a spike trap

I voted but I have a few questions. There are already so many weapons in thes game and we have powerful and not so powerful weapons. What would be the point of adding another weapon. What I think a could happen if you collect three Roth’s and arrange them in a 1*3 area in a crafting table you would get a jungle tooth which would be mainly used for leaf collecting because that best way ( without silk touch) to obtain leaves is with sheers which to me sounds a little weird.

Also what is the point of adding flies to minecraft as a drop. Maybe they could be used to brew the potion of levitation maybe.

Why would they drop flies? What would you do with flies?

I like the idea of a "plant mob" that stays in one place and snatches/damages any other mob/player that moves close enough. Once it has a target, it won't target another until that one is dead.

For inspiration it could be a combination of...

    • Venus fly-trap (something that is motionless until stepped on and snaps closed around the target),
    • Audrey II (something that snatches at the target and munches them),
    • Honeydew/Grasping vine/Tendrils (something that sticks to the target and pulls them in),
    • Pitcher (something that once you are in it's damage radius it's hard to escape)

Not sure I agree with the drops, but there should be some way to harvest or plant them.

The plant should be unique to Minecraft, so Mojang doesn't feel the need to copy the properties of real Venus Flytraps.  For example, they could be much bigger.

This would also make a good piranha plant for the Supet Mario Bros texture pack

Can it not hurt players or animals but inly sppiders? And can flys also b e added for more food and can it also need sppiders and flys and water to live? And can there be armor and tools made out of the teeth? And can they also spawn on leaves only?

Maybe drops could include spikes: used in traps, seeds to plant more, and the items of the previous victims, similar to how foxes hold the items they find.

Maybe their drops could be used to make bear like traps!

How about being able to feed them rotten flesh to grow them larger? Rotten flesh is fairly useless right now. I agree that MC doesn't really need more weapons, but maybe the harvested plant could be used for a new dye color or as a potion ingredient? Small ones could bite mobs within 1 block and larger ones within two blocks radius,

i would love to tame a venus fly trap and feed it with rotten flesh

Would be cool if right-clicking on them with some sort of meat would keep them closed for a short while, perhaps rotten flesh would have a lesser effect. This could be a counter for people who use fly traps as fortification for their bases

I want it to the 1.20

The drop could serve as a spike trap, it could be placed on the ground to trap mobs that step on it.

maybe it should be more similar to the wither rose where it causes damage to people who touch it and should just be one block high as a plant

If a bee flies in or a silverfish runs in, or a spider, the Venus flytrap closes.
