When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

You do realize you can just use a lever to generate redstone power, right? Why on earth would anyone want this?

It still doesn't make any sense to add a power generation system without also adding a reason to have it.  Because as it stands, it would be literally pointless to waste fuel or other resources on generating redstone power that you can also create with a simple lever.

I am saying that insted of a switch making the power the switch lets the power go past the switch when on and needing something to make the power on the other side of the switch having the switch be like a real switch

That's just not how redstone works right now.  You would basically be destroying the current system that works for so many people and replacing it with an entirely new system with entirely different rules.  For generators to make sense, redstone torches would need to change, redstone blocks would need to change, levers would need to change.  Even repeaters can be used to give an infinite redstone signal.

The only way it makes sense to add a generator is to add new kinds of things that require the generated power.

The problem is that this suggestion would require changing the entire system of redstone on all platforms, which works ok for the majority of people. This change would create bugs that could take years of updates to completely fix. Sometimes it is better to not apply real world science to games as even the top engineers in real life struggle to create good circuits.
