This would be a really great addition to the game as things like clone commands can get messy really quickly so just being able to type a small command would make it much easier

You can already sort of make "custom commands" with the /trigger command

    yeah why not add /customcommand level (1 2 3) [<trigger>] [<command>] <syntax>

1 everyone 2 all ops 3 owner / person who created world

syntax can me like worlds or something like you type in chat /customcommand level 1 123 5 /something 123 and when someone types "/something 123" it is the same as "/trigger add 123 5" (i thing thats how trigger works)

    so u can make something like /customcommand level 1 spawn 1 /spawn and it = /trigger add spawn 1

or maby just add it in data packs and do something like skript commands but build into minecraft

I would make a command which gives you a lambogini!!!!

Tho, that would make it easier. It's time consuming and difficult for the Mojang team

yyeeesss as a map maker I NEED this.. BUT not custom commands (to much coding) simply a shortcut command similar to /function. but you wouldn't have to type /function. this NEEDS to be added!!!

This could work as a shortcut, especially for functions. I have heard suggested the command /alias for that. Another suggestion for custom commands is to let datapacks set such aliases, which would be more powerful (it would allow more information for inputs).
Even if datapacks implement command aliases, a command like this would could be very convenient.

I'd be happy if they just made it not so ugly to trigger scoreboard objectives

could just be /custumcommand "add/remove/modify" "name of the to be added command" "some command that is executed" so for example: "/customcommand add spawn tp @s 0 10 0" or something

this would be great for map creators and people who don't have a lot of coding experience! 1000 IQ to whoever put this.

XD i wish this was in the game but just think about it you would technically make a infinite command or for short infinite cmrar/infinite command run around reverse kinda :/

I think this could work fine if the idea was to

    1) Just rename an often used function to something more user friendly then always using /function

    ETC: /CustomName | instead of /function mod:folder/file

    2) Allow a way to create functions for your world from in game. So you don't have to leave/reset world.

    ETC: /createfunction{CustomName:"",ParentDatapack:""} <line1> <line2> <etc>

this is possible using a behavior pack/datapack and /function

It could be /createcommand add execute at ... Or something like that

Instead of that, activating functions using commands would probably much easier to code for mojang

This would be so useful for Bedrock because servers aren’t easy to make, and realms and worlds don’t have custom commands. For Example, I make UHCs on world in Bedrock weekly, I want there to be commands like /scen (scenario), and /leave, so players can see what scenarios there are and leave the game without messing up the player count, because it only goes down when someone dies. Also /report would be nice so I don’t have to go into creative mid game to see who’s hacking and if they are hacking, because I play my own UHCs too

    To op.

I think a command that test for a message in the chat could be a more balanced way of achieving a similar outcome.
