If we are editing bubbles, we should swap them

@Bilbo Baggins no to what? To brenn boyer's comment or this?  And could you please be more specific on why something shouldn't be added rather than posting spam?

No, magma should push up and soul sand should pull

@brenn boyer this post has nothing to do with how magma blocks/soul sand and columns that push/pull match up.  If you aren't considering anything about placing blocks between magma blocks/soul sand and water in this post, take your thoughts elsewhere into this other person's post: Bubble Columns' Animations Should be Reversed

My “no” was saying that I don’t really think bubble columns going through things makes very much sense.

@BilboBaggins not necessarily.  They could go through fences and iron bars like a grate or grill.  They could also pass through leaves and such.  What matters is if there are water blocks on top of the magma/soul sand and the non-solid block.  How much of this did you read?

I kind of like the Magma-blocks-pull-down thing because it could act like a trap, pulling enemies into the water and damaging them when they're at the bottom. Besides, why would anyone want themselves or anything else to walk even slower underwater if Soul Sand pulled down? (If the purpose was to drown, may as well do some damage too.) It does get annoying at times, but I think that it just proves the usefulness of the concept

@ScaryHarryMAX this post isn't about the direction of the magma and soul sand bubbles, man.

let columns pass through iron bars, also reverse the block attributes

You say "at least 1 transparent block" and give no exceptions. I don't know if that was intentional, but it implies (especially in conjunction with the mentioning of beacons) that you support he idea of bubble columns going through solid glass blocks, and I find that idea unrealistic. In all the examples you list in you comment to Bilbo Baggins, the blocks are blocks that can have water run through them as of 1.13, or are leaves (which you have mentioned before that you believe should have different properties from normal blocks from a physical interaction standpoint). I would be much more inclined to support those block constraints, and honestly think that it is what you meant in the first place.

Stuff like doors, trapdoors, fences, iron bars, glass panes, and more would make sense for this idea.

Wolves that’s an amazing idea because I’m currently making a survival world and all I tried to do was make a magma bubble collum but because the water was deep I lost a bit of health getting the magma so as soon as I went in I just died so I tried everything but nothing is working so please minecraft add something like a bubble collum can travel through gates trap doors or even glass panes and iron bars
