I’m completely agreeing as slimes are not seen as a proper threat in Minecraft not only because of their rarity but because of the ease by which players can cleanly dispose of the green menace.

Smaller slimes (especially the ones that don’t do damage to the player) combining into a larger slime would be a beneficial change to this mob.

This could even be interesting if them being combined together worked on the larger slimes too, allowing you to create gigantic slimes if you tried.

Yes but only in hard/hardcore mode please :)

It should be only happening, if the slimes are split in 4 new slimes.

In Hardcore that could be always the case and with less difficulty the change of more slimes spawning after killing one could be less

Did you get this from grown or did you just have the same idea as him? Either way you have my vote!

I think there should be a variant of slime that does this. It comes in many colors and splits down even smaller. They would drop new slimeballs, which could be crafted into more dyes, and are found in different biomes by thier color. An example of an aquatic one could be this.

How about, in normal mode, they join back together, but in hard mode, the split slimes actually regrow back into medium and then large slime!!! Of course, there should be a larger time till they regrow, but if underestimated and not taken care of, the slimes will be very dangerous.  Only in hard or course.

Maybe there could be a slightly rarer version of slimes that have this ability.

I think I've said this a lot, but it could be toggled by /gamerule.

This is a really good idea that just downright makes good sense!

Perhaps rejoined slimes lose their ability to drop experience balls to prevent "experience" manipulation. And/Or maybe their jumps are farther and attacks are harder.

Here's an idea, slimes have a chance to grow each time they kill a mob/player, and they would attack smaller slimes to grow, with mini slimes fleeing other slimes, and, maybe, if a slime kill an other slime of one size smaller than itself, the killed slime don't split, but the slime that killed the other grow in size. Plus you could make that slimes attack other mobs that are smaller than them, with the exeption of skeletons and endermans, and only if the mob is really close to the slime.

You would be able to kill them but it would be harder. My suggestion is that they join in Easy after 15 seconds of nk attack, Normal could be 10 seconds, and Hard/Hardcore could be 5 seconds. This is an interesting idea in which I think could bring improvement to this mob.

That would be interesting to experiment with in a creative mode world with the Experimental Features on. This would create huge slimes, which could grow bigger than regular slimes, but again, I think this should start off in Experimental Gameplay to iron out the bugs.

Yes, these mobs are not seen often, and they are so easy to take down as one, but clones get annoying. That’s why I think they should join after a certain amount of time without steady attack, depending on the gamemode.

But wouldn't they be Impossible to kill because they will keep joining back up and becoming a Big slime again and then you will have to kill the big slime again.
