Gloves!

I allways thought why are there no gloves Minecraft, think about it, there's only 4 armor slots. When there can be so much more! But for now, let's just talk about gloves. Here's the crafting recipe, for example,

D=Diamond
/=nothing

/ D D

Wood gloves: 2+ attack

Iron gloves: 5+ attack

Gold gloves: 3+ attack

Chain gloves: 2.5 attack

Diamond gloves: 6 attack

Enchants: concussion: 1-5

For example, Concussion 5 lasts for 5 seconds, and concussion 3 lasts for 3 seconds. Cuncussion is like stunning someone, and they actually lay down! This is kinda of OP, so cuncussion 1 is 2 XP cuncussion 2 is 3 XP cuncussion 3 is 4 XP cuncussion 4 is 5 XP cuncussion 5 is 6 xp. Can be enchanted on gloves and swords.

These gloves do damage no matter what you're holding. So I recommend you have a sword with the gloves, then the damage they do mix together.

  I think leather gloves makes more sense than wood as the base tier.

  And I don't think it particularly makes sense for them to give extra damage to any object.  It would make sense to allow them to give extra damage to a punch attack.

  Leather gloves would protect your skin and let you punch harder with less fear of hurting yourself.  Think of something like MMA gloves, just only made out of leather.  You could layer the part covering your knuckles to give more protection.

  I like the idea, but those gloves are too overpowered.

  they should give:

  leather/golden/chainmail gloves: +1 defense points

  iron gloves: + 2 defense points

  diamond gloves: +3 defense points

   

  The extra damage should be an enchantment and should only work when unnarmed. (if it stacked with the sword or other weapons, it would be extremely op)

  Martial arts I: +1 extra damage with bare fists.

  Martial arts II: +2 extra damage with bare fists.

  Martial arts III: +3 extra damage with bare fists.
