Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

Crafted with two string and an iron pickaxe it would have twenty uses and only goes up sixteen blocks each use with a cooldown of two seconds

    I love it.  It serves a similar function to ender pearls, but is less powerful because of the distance limit.  It would be great for caving or building when you just have to get up a few blocks.

    This is awesome. This would be easier to get than ender pearls AND wouldn't do damage! This would be a good addition

    I love this idea! However, I think there should be more uses, because it's kind of expensive.

    I would say that since the crossbow is out the normal bow will loose popularity. Which is why I believe they should make the grappling hook with a bow, lead and an arrow.

    This is a great idea my friend but I feel like it needs an upgrade. Why not make it like crossbow attached to the players wrist and they can shoot from there?

    After you’ve thrown it would you be teleported there or would it function as a ladder? I’d prefer it as a quickly placed ladder, it’s more realistic

    Hook should have a spring and rope mechanics like if you jump with low speed and one block away the hook will act as a spring and pull you up like a spring and as a rope if you run it will hold you on the air for seconds so you could reach another point with a little springy jump

    This. We should be able to climb it like a ladder and maybe even swing across gaps with it. Comes with its own fair amount of risk in use too, so it would be game-breaking.

    I love this idea. It would definitely add to the whole Indiana Jones vibe of exploring deep caverns. I'd love the feeling of this being added along with the holdable torches.

    Great idea! But maybe it should go about 20 blocks up and hurt mobs because you might need that in a tight situation.

    This is an amazing idea! But I agree with another person who commented that it should be used with the normal bow with the lead and arrow

    Yeah! The animation should be similar to throwing a trident, but it should look like a fishing rod...Enchantment: Grip (Max level 3) add 10 block for every level you add! I think it should not hang on to semi-solid or translucent blocks.. imo

    Maybe they could add rope and that would be used in crafting, but i also think it would be cool if you could make, iron, gold, and diamond versions (maybe stone with less than 20 uses) each with more uses.

    This is a pretty great idea, but why does it need a cool-down? Also, instead of the weird sixteen block rule, what if it were to act similarly to the fishing rod, but has a stronger throw upwards as well as to the side? I get that without a cool-down it will be kinda powerful, but it won't add much to combat and mainly focuses on traveling around. The crafting recipe could also be a fishing rod with two pickaxes and the stronger the picks, the more uses the grappling hook has. Wood=5, Stone=10, Iron=15 or 20, Gold will be glimmering and look really nice, but only go 10, and Diamond=30.

    brilliant for them enhanced biomes, it would be particularly be beneficial if it has a revers function to, especially to scale down ravines, you have my vote.
