Shooting Stars

What if there was a chance to see a shooting star across the night sky, just to make the night seem so much more realistic and beautiful.

    We should be able to track down where the shooting star landed and find the meteorite. In the meteorite, we would be a different kind of ore that would provide different powers. Let's call it meteoric iron for now, but it could be some other element that can be used in crafting enhanced weapons/armour/enchantments etc.

    I want this so much! I love your idea, but I also have some other ideas: maybe you could try and find were the shooting star landed and collect an item (I cannot think of a cool name) but only if you run to the place fast enough!

    It would be really cool if the shooting star could actually hit the ground and leave a crater and possibly hit something and kill it.

    Really nice touch! As metioned by others, you should be able to find something where the star fall. Nothing new or too powerful but something like Iron/Gold nuggets or, more rarely, diamond/emerald or even enchated books. It shouldn't be a game changer feature but just something to give you a reason to watch the sky and not to sleep. So that the chance to encounter phantoms (that can be easily bypassed) would be higher.

    What if it could be used as a new loot table and/or transport or spawner for mobs? Very useful for a Galaxy or Airal update.

    Maybe just like Terraria ，it's a kind of Meteorite that would drop sometimes ，if you find it  ，you can use the meteorite to make armor or weapons

    Yes, I think the minecraft sky needs some sprucing up. Maybe combine this with a bit of gameplay and you got yourself a winner.

    YES! It'd be so nice to just sit there, look at the sky, and dream of the worlds beyond ours while a shooting star glares past. Great idea!

    If they do add this, when you directly look at a shooting star, you get a small bonus for 5-10 minutes where you could perhaps get slightly increased xp from xp sources, or mobs drop just a little bit more loot.

    Perhaps it could be more functional than just a neat aesthetic? For example, what if you got a small amount of experience when watching the shooting star with the new telescope item? It would give a new use to the item (that is balanced) and would allow players to actually star gaze at night.

    It is not a bad idea, even now, that they implemented a telescope supported this in the name of astronomy, because because the night skies only have stars, with shooting stars we could do something with the telescope.

    Maybe when one falls, there would be a sparker of light to gild the player to the place where the shooting start fell, then there would be a chest with some valuable items.(Personally, I think this is kind of OP but wanted to share it anyway)

    I think it should have something like mob or item that tell when will there be shooting stars because sometimes we don't know when shooting stars will come.
