So there are 4 very specific reasons i love this feature in java. 1) offhand torch, mainhand tools: mining and placing torches as needed. 2) offhand concrete powder, mainhand pickaxe: makes stacks of concrete quick and easy 3) off hand unimportant block mainhand pickaxe when mining out a tunnel deep or in the nether in order to quickly place in a lava hole if you find one. 4) rockets, for flying with elytra.

I play on windows 10 and sometimes xbox, i understand the complication of mak8ng this work for touch devices but i think a good aolution has been presented here. That being said, from an immersion standpoint, there is no valid reason for us being unable to put anything in our other hand.

You can use right click to hit with your right hand and left click to hit with the left hand. This mode is only for duel wielding swords and axes

I don't like this idea, what if I have a torch on one hand and my sword on the other and a zombie walking towards me, if I touch on the middle of my screen I could accidentally use the torch to hit the mob instead of my sword.

We need Dual-wielding, we have waited long enough.. maybe in this form, or any other way, whatever Mojang sees fit..

Change the split controls's imput method by adding two buttons. One for: destroy block / Attack / eat food / drink milk, another one for: place block / use items / trade villager / use boat- leave boat / feed food.

Because it would be faster and easier than the current method. In the current method we can not move crosshair and do important actions (destroy block / attack / eat food / drink milk / place block / use items / trade villager / use boat- leave boat / feed food) together. By adding two buttons we can move crosshair and do those actions together.

Place the place block / use items button at mid right and destroy block / attack button at mid left on the screen. Make it vertically customisable for shoter screens and bigger screens.

If you guys do not want to replace the current method to this method than atleast add this method in optional on/off toggle, name the option advanced split controls.

Balen Kayl, left and right click are already both used for the main hand. Left-click is for breaking blocks, and right-click is for using them. I think Java uses the F key for offhand.

These are the ways to control the dual wielding in Bedrock Edition. On Win10 edition, the dual wield would be like Java (F-key). On console, use L2/LT/ZL to equip item to off hand, similarly to armor. On PE, add button next to jump for equipping an item to the off hand.

This is definitely long overdue! I feel like your solutions might work but the thing is even if Mojang hasn't found any proper solution for mobile, why leave out consoles and PC players? Yes, I know that might seem not "fair" for mobile users but the fact is, Mobile gaming ain't as great as Console and PC gaming. So I feel like it's actually not fair for Consoles and PC players to lose out on something that works on their platform JUST because mobile does not handle it.

I actually disagree with the sugegsted controls cuz it would, for example be hard to walk while placing torches with ur off hand. I actually think it would be better like terraria mobile, for a mini button on the bottom right of screen that does whatevers on your off hand when pressed. For example, if you are holding a wood plank and a torch on ur main and off hand respectively, when you press anywhere else on the screen it would place a wood plank but when you tap the button a torch woukd be placed.

Without split controls that button would be a one tap toggle, when not toggled nothing would happen but when its toggled by tapping it once when you tap on the screen it would do whatevers on your off hand
