Cats being able to fish.

Cats should be able to fish, they could be able to get better thing then fishing with a rod. It would give cats more features and make them more important than just scaring away creepers. Cats are VERY underrated in Minecraft except for being cute.

    I think to balance it, the cat should catch fish (and goodies) at a slower rate than you would with a rod.  The benefit would be the ability to accumulate items over time while you do other things.

    They can now bring you some things as gifts when you wake up.

    Just imagine them slowly creeping up to the water, then they jump into it! Then they swim back with a fish in its mouth, it either eats the fish or drops it. That would a great quality of life feature

    now that the new fish mobs have been added cats might be able to target and kill fish (like a wolf kills sheep and skeletons)

    Cats can also scare away phantoms which makes you almost immune to the two most deadly/hard to fight/frustrating common mobs in the game. So they aren't underrated. But having them fish would be awesome! It is a bit like the wolf hunting for you when you hit a mob

    Perhaps it should be a thing that happens by chance when your near water the cat might go to the edge of it so long as the shore and water line up and pull a fish out. But I believe this should only be something that happens every once in a while.

    Maybe then the cat either eats the fish or drops it in front of you. By eating the fish the cat would heal up. Also, one other possibility partially eaten fish in which case that cat eats the fish partially then drops it in front of you, this particular fish will fill fewer hunger bars, or even cause a hunger effect, or nausea.

    Yes! Yes!! Yes!!! This is a great idea. Cats should also be able to take the loot from fishing and give it to you. Cute idea, got my vote :)

    This is such a cute idea I hope this gets included in the game because wolfs can already hunt so there’s no reason cats shouldn’t.

    This could work, and it would definitive work with 2 other ideas on this Site which are the „ small rodents“ and „roaming Pets“. Like just Imagine your wheat fields are Full of mice and Rats or hamsters whatever, and they keep Spawning there until u tame a cat and Tell her to observe this specific area which leads to no longer rat oder mice spawns and if they still do the Cats gone give them fire.

    I think it would be a fun Edition, but Cats should not use fishing rids, they should just creep in, and pounce on the fish,
