Good idea I hope it gets added!

Yeah, I support this. And its not overpowered because of having a very rare chance.

This does not fit into Minecraft at all.... the only references to Mojang within the game itself are very subtle, like the Mojang logo that you can add to banners. Not a good idea.

I like it but no real life references. Maybe the statues could be legendary mobs instead

I like the idea, but since notch doesnt own the game anymore, They probably wouldnt do the notch one.

I feel like I'm in the minority here when it comes to my support for the Mojang Statues. After all, wouldn't the developers be revered as gods? There could also be Steve and Alex statues. Of course, the satues would be constructed from grayscale blocks, as having a full-color statue in a presumably gray city would be quite jarring, to say the least, and while we're at it, why not make them have a high chance to be broken in some way? Especially the arms...

There could also be various traps and such scattered throughout the city: Monster Eggs, gravel "minefields" that will collapse under you if you step on the wrong pressure plate or pitfalls if you step on any pressure plate in the area, secret rooms, trapped chests, puzzles, etc.

This idea is great and it should add a sub story line to the game. Like what causes you to be the only one who is live and has hair. The villages are a different species than the player and the only player-looking mob is a zombie. Even the zombie village zombie looks different. Bad grammar sorry

I like the idea of legendary statues and a ruined city, but I think putting real life Minecraft devs in there would be counter to Mojangs vision and the personal, open-endedness of Minecraft.

So personally I'd say "no" to statues of irl individuals but "yes" to ruined cities, statues and rare loot.

I very much like the idea of huge abandoned cities. Possibly make them more rare than even strongholds. I remember playing on hunger games servers years ago and there was always a giant delapidated city as a map. I’ve always wanted that to be a naturally generated structure. Scattered loot chests in a giant city of crumbling sky scrapers and broken roads? Yes please.

I was about to post the same thing (kind of)!

Or maybe a rare structure, generated a few blocks below the surface, like the basement of an iglo, where there is a shrine notch’s and jeb’s skin on an enchanted banner, that would be cool as well

great idea, but my only problem with this is that these things should be EXTREMELY rare, EXTREMELY.

I like it. It kinda adds a bit more of a history to the world.Maybe it could be a Mayan/Incan/Aztec inspired temple.

The legends are not nececary, but the generation should be modern but abadonded, brocken and old

I like this idea because if there is one thing Minecraft lacks it’s (a cave update) lore. We have played Minecraft for ten years now and most of us just take temples or sunken ships for granted, but how cool would it be to have some lore to go with all of these structures? What better way to do it than to have it written down on books in ancient cities.

Nice idea, however these must be extremely rare and have other non specific statues to break up the effect such as illager and villager statues.

    This is so perfectly balanced!

it prevents it from being overpowered by making it rare nice!

plus it allows us mine crafters to remember its creators

Ok, look, I'm not sure if dev statues in particular would be a good idea, though I think having humanoid player-shaped statues would go a long way to complement the game's lore... I don't know, maybe a long time ago there was an ancient civilization and we are the last of those.

Yes this would add good lore to the game. Voted

I like this idea a lot. But there's one thing: Cities is too much. Maybe some ruins of a village, a temple or something.

I think that maybe a less subtle Mojang reference that a huge Jeb statue. Maybe a villager with a crown or sword would be better

Great idea. they should make it so it has only one of these in each world. you should have to acquire several map pieces for it in every structure expect dungeons and mine shafts. you have to go to woodland mansions, nether fortress, end city, strong hold, desert temple, jungle temple and an ocean monument. when you combine these pieces it gives you the map to it. the loot there would be very rare some maybe even only found in it. the Notch statue should have a enchanted golden apple the Jeb statue should have a Jeb sheep near and the Dinnerbone statue should have a Dinnerbone mob.

I like this idea, but the Mojang staues dont really fit in. Maybe mob statues? And while on the statues instead of loot why not have a small dungeon under it with a stronghold, it would give a new level of minecraft to explore.

How about a statue of everyone that works on Minecraft (including the people who are deciding if this comment should be sent or not) and basically everyone who works at Mojang Studios. (Including Nova Inkycatz) and they are very very rare.

So many things point to minecraft being post-apocalyptic instead of medieval (giant arthropods, zombies, live skeletons, villages being so rare [before village and pillage], there being only a few players that look alike), so if these abandoned cities had zombies spawning like crazy, I'd be all for it!

honestly, maybe real word things isn't the way to go. maybe statues of mobs. what if you did a refrence to the giant as if it went extinct .

I love this idea but agree with the others in that the statues will look too out of place.

Making these wooden mansion rare but are big! like underwater ruins but above and have chests full of diamonds emeralds and the other loot. I have a interesting idea for them too: structures try to spawn near them if they are "Ruined/Ancient" like ruined portal, temples, mineshafts. I hope you like my comment!
