This! After playing Splatoon 2 on Switch, I was pretty much spoiled with aiming using Gyro/Motion Controls. It felt precise and natural. I hope Mojang would implement the use of Motion Controls in Bedrock to devices that support it (etc, Nintendo Switch console, controller etc)

This need more attention. Gyroscope in games is absolutely the future, the amount of accuracy you can achieve while playing basically any fps/tps game with gyroscope is tremendous, so much so that anyone used to the controls using gyroscope can compete with people on mouse and keyboard. This is such a hugely popular game on the AppStore right now and has been for so long that’s its begging for gyroscope and better playing. Playing with split control and with gyroscope on will be extremely accurate in fighting mobs and building/breaking blocks, please Mojang, with this implemented the game would become perfect for me.

so many hours (300+ in total) playing zelda and splatoon on the switch makes it second nature to look with the R-stick and aim with gyro.
it makes making fine adjustments very easy.
Now I just cant really kill baby zombies without a few misses (i was able to when playing java edition with a mouse)

Gyro gets me almost as close to the game as mouse and keyboard. It's very important on Switch and other platforms might enjoy it too.

I'd LOVE this is implemented. I use to play shooters with my Steam Controller and have tried Splatoon 2 and Breath Of The Wild before, and their gyro feature is AWESOME for those precise shots. Any Bedrock port that supports gyro controls (Nintendo Switch, Android and Windows 10 with compatible controllers like the Switch Pro or the Dualshock 4) should have it!

Maybe implement it with different options for when gyro is activated:

*Always enabled. ("Center view" option when pressing a stick.)

    * When holding a tool or weapon, like a sword or a pickaxe.

*Only when using a crossbow or bow.

    *Disabled.

I think having the option to have it -or not- should be there.

This should really be a thing. It just controls soo good with gyro and on Switch it's a standard feature. Every game has it. If a game doesn't have it it feels unnatural.
    So please add it !

Yeah, why no Gyro in mobile version?

Please add this feature to Minecraft on mobile phones. Would be a lot easier to play!

I would love this, as the thumbsticks are pretty good, but I sometimes miss when mining or building, and gyro control for fine tuning would be incredibly helpful!!

Motion/gyro aiming is my most wanted feature right now. It’s hard to express how nice it is until you get used to it. Please, devs! Add gyro aim! At least for bows!

Gyro control would easily put the Switch version right to the top of list, second only to the mouse controlled versions. Playing Skyrim on the PS4 was a shock for me, coming from the PC version. Using a controller instead of a mouse drove me absolutely nuts. I got somewhat used to it, but never truly cared for it. Jumping to the PSVR version and gaining head tracking for precision aiming was a huge game changer, bringing it right to the PC's level of playability. I also ended up getting it on the Switch because I wanted a portable version, but didn't know at the time it had the gyro aiming. I loved it when I finally played it. I didn't find it quite as good as the headtracking of the PSVR, but it's just barely behind it in terms of playability, and light-years ahead of the basic analog stick control. I really think it would be a perfect match for Minecraft and pretty much make it the king of the console versions by a longshot. It's been ages since they mentioned the possibility of adding it, but I really, really hope they haven't given up on it.

It would also eliminate the problem of not being able to jump and moving the camera at the same time as the right controlstick and the A-Button both are pressed with the right thumb.

Also on PS4 and Win 10 if you have a controller that supports it

Gyro would be cool, even on the iPhone or with I think now completely discontinued Xbox One Kinect but it should not prioritized, fixing the game and its other more foundational pillars should be done first in my opinion.

This should be an easy implementation. After playing Fortnite and loving the motion controls to better hit targets, I was disappointed to learn that Minecraft on the Switch did NOT have this feature. Please add this asap :)

I've always felt that there should be an option to have the camera controlled by gyro. Of course, it would be off by default, and only available for the handheld versions (Switch and Mobile). It could be useful for looking around without worrying about accidentally mining, and maybe it could be used for peeking around corners and stuff.

Oh my gosh yes of course! It's perfect! especially with the switch's "strange" stick layout this would help SO MUCH. Also, I like the idea that the Seargent had about it having an independently moving cross like with the "split controls" toggle on touch, Then there could be three options, off, independent, and full motion controls.

yes! it'd be almost just like playing keyboard & mouse like how Splatoon 2 is! It would feel so good to be able to play a console in this way, and only the Switch can really do that

I'm really surprised this was never added! This could also help to make the game more accessible to a larger audience - this could even be applied to other platforms!

I personally find aiming with a bow sometimes very un-intuitive when trying to aim at a target that is more than 10 blocks away- I end up side strafing and missing more to counteract the imprecise aiming

They should also add Kinect for XBox 1S / XBox 1X and make it so you can move with that and motion controls like that

I'm going to have to bump for motion controls as well. I've waited for motion control support for fortnight, wolfenstien, paladins and warframe before picking it up on switch.

Please add this, this is the one thing preventing me from (re)buying Minecraft, on Switch.

I can't go back to stick aiming after having played BOTW.

Yes! Please add gyro on Switch especially, but maybe also on mobile? OPTIONAL Gyro would make controls on both much better.

Yes. Definitely for bow aiming. That would be awesome.

Gyro aiming is one of the few genuine innovations motion controls have brought us that wasn't a gimmick, so much so it feels almost lacking in Minecraft on switch so I really wan't to see them bring it back. Precision aiming on controllers is so difficult without it, it's hard to go back.

I would really appreciate this, I imagine the same could be done for the PS4 version of the game too

moving from the PC version of the game to Switch I have found the change to sluggish thumbsticks for a first person game to be quite jarring

Finally! Someone agrees! Splat2n practically required my mind to motion aiming. It would make building and everything so much faster. Please consider this, Mojang!
